The regular season is finally here and we kick it off on Thursday night with one of the biggest rivalries in all of football.
In this game the Green Bay Packers make the trip to Soldier Field to take on the Chicago Bears. Last year the home team won each of the two matchups.
Green Bay Packers
The Green Bay Packers made some big changes this offseason including bringing in Matt LaFleur to take over as head coach for Mike McCarthy.
Last season even though the team struggled to live up to expectations, quarterback Aaron Rodgers was good throwing for 4,442 yards, 25 touchdowns, and two interceptions.
On the offensive side of the ball there are still some questions about how the offense will look under LaFleur and it’s going to be key that he and Rodgers are on the same page.
Last season the Packers defense really struggled and in each of the last two games of the season they gave up at least 31 points.
The defense is still going to need to be good, but this is still Rodgers team and the team will go as he goes. If he has another big year, and he and LaFleur need to be on the same page.
In this game they need to find a way to keep Khalil Mack out of the backfield. If Rodgers doesn’t have time to throw the ball, It’s going to be a long game.
On the other side of this matchup is the Chicago Bears who still have a sour taste in their mouth with the way last year ended.
Cody Parkey missed a game-winning field goal against the Philadelphia Eagles in the playoffs. Coming into week one the Bears still seem to have questions about the kicker, but they are rolling with Eddy Pineiro.
He is on the short leash though and if he struggles in this game, the team could be looking for someone else after this game.
For the Bears, this is a defensive first team, led by Khalil Mack, and in this game they are going to try and make life rough on Aaron Rodgers.
On the offensive side the team trusts Mitchell Trubisky, but if he can play better then he did last year, they could be a Super Bowl contender.
At running back they have rookie David Montgomery and he should play a big role for the team this year, along with Tarik Cohen.

4* Free NFL Betting Prediction: Chicago Bears -3
This is week one and we can have a good idea, of what teams are going to do, but these are new teams so make sure to bet lightly.
NFL Free Week 1 Score Prediction: Bears 23 – Packers 13
The Bears are at home and I think Khalil Mack is going to have a big game getting to Aaron Rodgers. That will be the difference in this game, because the Packers are going to have trouble scoring.
The favorite is 12-5 in the last 17 meetings, and after Thursday it will be 13-5.
