Week four of the NFL season is here and this is a big cross-conference showdown between the Houston Texans and the Carolina Panthers.

The Carolina Panthers lost their first two games of the season but are coming off a big win with their backup quarterback.

Coming into this game there is a big question about who will start and we probably won’t know till mid-week or later who is starting.

Cam Newton is dealing with a left mid-foot sprain and is listed as day to day, and he could play this week, or he could be out for a couple more weeks.

If Newton can’t play it will be Kyle Allen starting and he was really good against the Cardinals. He threw for 261 yards and four touchdowns while completing 73.1 percent of his passes.

In this game whoever it is needs to play lights out. This is going to be a tough battle and the quarterback play is going to be key.

Houston Texans

On the other side of this matchup is the Houston Texans were a made field goal from the Saints from being 3-0 in this young season.

Two games against the Jacksonville Jaguars the offense really struggled and that led to them only winning by one point, but in the last game against the Los Angeles Chargers the offense was better putting up 27 points and that led to a victory.

Deshaun Watson has been strong and he has done a good job of not turning the ball over. So far this season he has thrown six touchdowns and one interception.

On the defensive side the Texans have done a good job of creating turnovers, and if they can create a couple of them in this game, they should be in good shape.

They also need to be the team that gets out to a fast start. If they fall behind early, they could come back but it’s going to make life a lot worse.
