Obviously player health is the most important thing, but the Cincinnati Bengals did miss out on a chance for the #2 seed in the AFC when their Monday night game with Buffalo was cancelled in week 17 after Bills safety Damar Hamlin collapsed on the field.
The Bengals did do a good job of bouncing back from the emotions of the Bills cancellation, beating these Baltimore Ravens 27-16 in the regular season finale.
Baltimore held things pretty close to the vest though, as both teams basically had their fates sealed. Important to realize these two clubs split their regular season games.
Baltimore Ravens
The Ravens chances on Sunday night really come down to whether Lamar Jackson can play. He’s been out since a 10-9 win over Denver on December 4th and the Baltimore offense hasn’t broken 17 points in the five games since then.
Reports are saying that Jackson’s status does not look good for Sunday night, and his backup Tyler Huntley is also questionable with a wrist injury.
In addition, the Ravens started Anthony Brown vs. the Bengals last week and he was 19/44 with 0 TDs and 2 INTs.
Offense
To put it another way, the Ravens offense will almost undoubtedly struggle in this wild card matchup, as they managed just one TD and three Justin Tucker FGs last week even though the Bengals were basically going through the motions.
The fact that Cincinnati really didn’t take the regular season finale seriously and still put up 27 points on Baltimore has to be a bit concerning – but the Bengals also had a defensive TD and three FGs to get to that total.
From NFL Now: It's been nearly a month and a half, but #Ravens QB Lamar Jackson's knee still doesn't feel right to him. It's no one's fault. But it's why he's considered to be a long-shot to play on Sunday. pic.twitter.com/6abGpv1DHf

Cincinnati Bengals
To begin with, you can’t reiterate enough that player safety is the top priority, but it really would have been a great Litmus test to see how Cincinnati stacked up against the Bills two weeks ago.
Either way, the Bengals are still red hot as the winners of 8 straight down the stretch which is second in the NFL for the longest current winning streak behind only San Francisco (10).
By and large, it will be fun to see what Joe Burrow can do for an encore in his second postseason. On the positive side he completed 68.3% of his passes with 5 TDs and 2 INTs in taking the Bengals from the Wild Card all the way to a Super Bowl loss to the Rams last year.
The Burrow Effect
Burrow threw for 4,475 yards this season with 35 TDs and 12 INTs, and although Baltimore had a top 10 defense overall during the regular season (324.3 ypg) they were vulnerable against the pass (232.2 ypg, 26th).

4* Free Baltimore Ravens vs. Cincinnati Bengals NFL Betting Prediction: Under 41.5
The side is very intimidating to bet on in this game because it seems like the Bengals would have value at -9 or -10 with Jackson likely not playing for Baltimore – or if he does not at full strength.
Additionally, with the hook (-7.5) looming large and the public pounding Cincinnati after a romp through the postseason a year ago, this looks like a Bengals win but only by a TD.
All in all it has to be said you need to brace yourselves for the backdoor cover but ultimately this game ends in a low scoring game.
