Looking for 2019 New Orleans Saints predictions? We’ve got your back. You could make the argument that the New Orleans Saints have been the best team for the past two seasons.
Unfortunately, their seasons in each of the last couple of years came to a sudden and gut punching end. Two seasons ago the “Miracle in Minnesota” happened and the pass interference that wasn’t called in the NFC Championship game last year kept the Los Angeles Rams alive and they would eventually win in overtime.

2019 New Orleans Saints Win Total Odds: Over 10.5 (-125)
The New Orleans Saints bring back most of the players they had last year. The offense is still going to be one of the best in the NFL with Drew Brees, Alvin Kamara, and Michael Thomas leading the way for the most part.
Sean Payton is still the brain child of the offense and there will be games where someone out of the blue will have a huge game.

On the defensive side of the ball, the Saints are still strong. Cameron Jordan causes havoc in the passing game and in the secondary the Saints bolster a solid trio in Marshon Lattimore, Marcus Williams, and Eli Apple.
This is a well rounded team and it’s not shocking to see why this team is expected to make yet another deep run in the playoffs this year.
Saints Win Total Odds: Key Additions
The Saints made enough splashes in the free agent market to bolster their team a bit. They went out and signed veteran center Nick Easton to replace Max Unger. Tight end Jared Cook will look to build upon last year’s success with the Raiders by playing with the high flying Saints.
Latavius Murray will essentially take the place of Mark Ingram and on the defensive side of the ball the Saints signed Malcom Brown to stuff the run and Mario Edwards for added depth, as well.
Saints Win Total Odds: Key Departures
The Saints really didn’t lose a ton. The two real key losses I would say are Max Unger who retired and Alex Okafor who signed with the Kansas City Chiefs.

Mark Ingram signed with the Baltimore Ravens, but that isn’t that big of a deal. The Saints signed an adequate replacement in Murray.
Saints Win Total Odds: Season Preview
Maybe third year’s a charm for the New Orleans Saints. This is arguably the most talented team in the NFL and they have solid depth, as well. Schedule wise, they have a pretty stiff opening slate.
Their first four games are against playoff teams from last year, including road games against the Rams and Seattle. However, they do get two primetime spots at home.
After that, though, they only play two playoff teams from last year from then on (Chicago and Indianapolis).
Realistically, if they can start 2-2 – which I think is the worse case scenario – the Saints will be in good shape. Playing at Chicago will be tough, but at least it’s late October and not late December. Indianapolis comes to New Orleans and for the most part the majority of the schedule is against in-division rivals.
All in all, the schedule is pretty favorable for the Saints and I would say the Saints are good for at least ten wins.
2019 Saints Win Total Odds: Over 10.5
The line is set at 10.5 and I would take the over with confidence. I’ve got the Saints going 6-2 after eight games as they head into their bye week and if they do that they’ll be a lock for 11 wins.

There aren’t many games in the second half where they won’t be favored. You have to factor in that they may lose one or two in-division road games, but the Saints should have bag enough wins. Worse case, Saints go 11-5 and the over hits.
The division looks good for them, as well, and if they get home field advantage in the playoffs they’ll have a chance to finally get back to the Super Bowl and finish the job.
