Looking for 2019 Atlanta Falcons predictions? We’ve got your back. The Atlanta Falcons had absolutely rotten luck last year. They lost players as the opened up the season in Philadelphia and things didn’t get any better. They practically lost their entire defense unit and most of their offensive line. The fact that they almost finished the season at .500 was quite the accomplishment.

2019 Atlanta Falcons Win Total Odds: Over 8.5 (-130)
The Atlanta Falcons still have a great core of players. I think the perception is that Matt Ryan didn’t have a good year last year because the Falcons offense wasn’t as explosive as they have been in the past, but Ryan still threw for 35 touchdowns and only threw seven interceptions.
He didn’t get a lot of help from his offensive line as he was sacked 42 times. But, again, that was because the Falcons suffered a ton of injuries.

If the offensive line stays healthy the Falcons will have the chance to really put up some numbers. Ryan will have arguably the best trio of wide receivers in the game in Julio Jones, Mohamed Sanu, and Calvin Ridley
Falcons Win Total Odds: Key Additions
The Falcons added some depth to their offensive line by signing James Carpenter and Jamon Brown. Plus, they added back Adrian Clayborn and they signed Allen Bailey from the Kansas City Chiefs to help their defensive line, as well.
Falcons Win Total Odds: Key Departures
The Falcons lost a few keys players. Tevin Coleman will be rejoining Kyle Shanahan in San Francisco; defensive backs Robert Alford, Justin Bethel, and Brian Poole are gone.
Bruce Irvin, who signed in the middle of last year, will be leaving his own to join in-division rival Carolina.

Falcons Win Total Odds: Season Preview
The Falcons should be back to their explosive ways on offense as their offensive line has quickly been rebuilt not only with their free agent signings, but drafting Chris Lindstrom and Kaleb McGary.
They really want to protect Ryan, and if they do, Ryan will be able to sling around to his playmakers and the Falcons will boast one of the best offensives in the NFL.
Defensively, the Falcons have the talent; they just have to stay healthy and put it altogether. Vic Beasley has all the potential to be an elite pass rusher, he just hasn’t shown it consistently.
Grady Jarrett is a force in the middle of the defensive line. Deion Jones is one of the best middle linebackers in the NFL and Keanu Neal will be coming back from a knee injury and he’ll look to provide the kind of help the secondary needs.
2019 Falcons Win Total Odds: Over 8.5
All in all, this is a really good team, but we will see just how good this team really is because they have a difficult schedule. They’ll be put to the test as they go on the road to Minnesota, they open their season at home against their nemesis in Philadelphia and they go back up north to play Indianapolis.

It’s not an easy schedule to start and it’s not as if it gets any easier. They play the Texans on the road, they play the Rams and Seahawks and in late December they travel across country to San Francisco.
Those are some of their notable games and that’s not including their in division games, as well.
3-3 to start the year is realistic and their next four games will determine which way Atlanta is headed for the season. They get back-to-back home games against the Rams and Seahawks before opening up their NFC South schedule on the road against the Saints and Panthers.
If they are 6-4, they’ll have a real good shot at ten wins with four of their last six games on the road.
The Falcons are right on the edge I can make an argument for them going 6-10 and I can make the argument that they can go 10-6.
Overall, I think this team is good enough and talented enough to have a winning season despite a really tough schedule. I’ll take the Falcons to go 9-7 and go over on their win total.
It’s going to be close and I could see them finishing just below at 8-8, but this team just seems like they have too much talent to not have a winning season.
