Braden Huff contributed 10 points and seven rebounds. Izan Almansa added 11 points, giving Few another productive frontcourt option.
The Bulldogs outrebounded Purdue 34-31 and committed only 10 turnovers.
That combination helped them maintain control despite shooting a lower percentage than the Boilermakers.
Gonzaga has multiple scoring options and enough size to challenge opponents around the basket. Maintaining offensive efficiency without relying heavily on free throws will be worth watching.

Aggies Bulldogs Free Pick: New Mexico State +27.5
Here is my Aggies Bulldogs free pick: I’m taking New Mexico State +27.5. Gonzaga should win this game, but asking the Bulldogs to beat a Division I opponent by four touchdowns is a different proposition. That’s a big number, even for a program that regularly handles business at home.
What I like is the cushion. New Mexico State can lose by 20 and still cash comfortably, and Gonzaga doesn’t need to run up the score to get what it wants from this game. The Bulldogs can win every meaningful stretch without covering this spread.
I’m not confusing Gonzaga being the better team with Gonzaga being the better bet.
The late-game situation could be important. If Few has his starters sitting with a comfortable lead, the Aggies can chip away against the reserves without threatening the outcome. Those points count the same at the sportsbook.
I’m not buying an Aggies upset, and I don’t need one. This is about taking a massive head start against a favorite that has bigger priorities than embarrassing an overmatched visitor. My play is New Mexico State +27.5.
