It may not scream classic Big East but these are two very good teams and it should be a very good game.
Butler is on a roll but they nearly dropped their next game after beating top team Villanova.
For Creighton, Villanova is the only team they haven’t beaten this season. Great measuring stick for both programs.

No matter the situation you always leave yourself open if you doubt Butler. The snapped Villanova’s long win streak at home last week.
It helps to have one of the more underrated players in the game in Kelan Martin. Even though he did not have a great game against the Wildcats he is averaging 17ppg.
Butler is excited about the development of freshman guard Kamar Baldwin. He is developing a nice reputation as a playmaker and he gives them good atleticism.

Butler is a good defensive team but it is mostly about fundamentals and not gambling. They lack length and nobody challenges a lot of shots at the rim.
This group will be challenged to keep pace with the Blue Jays, who are one of the top scoring teams in America. They are going to have to try and slow down the pace.
They are not a low scoring team but they don’t have a lot of guys who can fill it up. Martin might not be enough.
Creighton Blue Jays
Creighton plays an exciting brand of basketball and they are a good team. There is a lot to like, including being tops in the nation in FG %.
Part of that is being fourth in the nation in threes at 42%. They get them from a lot of sources too as even their big center Justin Patton can knock it down from deep.
Though just a freshman he is really giving teams a hard time with his ability to recognize good shots and knock them down.

That kind of inside presence makes the guard duo of Marcus Foster and Maurice Watson even more dangerous.
Combined they are averaging 31ppg and both can get off good shots when they need them.
I really like Creighton this season and at think they will be able to speed up Butler at home. Setting the tempo is key.
