After an exciting race at Indianapolis Motor Speedway last weekend saw Bubba Wallace move back into Victory Lane, the NASCAR Cup Series now travels to the Hawkeye State for a race around Iowa Speedway.
Ryan Blaney of Team Penske will be in the spotlight as he looks to defend his dominant short-track win here a year ago.

2025 NASCAR Iowa Corn 350 Race Odds: Christopher Bell +450
Bell is as good as they come on shorter-flat tracks like the racers will be tested on this weekend, so it’s no surprise to see him installed as a co-favorite alongside Kyle Larson.
He performed well in the inaugural race here last year and finished in fourth despite having to start in the rear of the field.
He even led seven laps.
Since the start of last season he has the best Total Speed Ranking on this track type, and in the last four races he’s ranked no. 1 in three of them, and no. 2 in the other. So we know he can show the kind of top-end speed to win these types of races.
Our 2025 NASCAR Iowa Corn 350 Free Pick is riding with one of the front-runners — sometimes chalk is the sharp move.
2025 NASCAR Iowa Corn 350 Race Odds: Kyle Larson +450
Larson is the co-favorite thanks not only to the name recognition for one of the circuit’s best drivers, but also his run here last year when he may have been the best driver on the track. His day wasn’t incident free, however, so he had to settle for a 34th place finish.
He’s right alongside Bell as the best on the shorter-flat tracks, and his underlying data looks even better when you remove last year’s Iowa race.
In that race here last year Larson started on the pole, led 80 laps, finished second in Stage 1, then won Stage 2, then had a crash to begin the last stage which all but ended his day.
In addition to outright plays, top-10s and matchups offer sneaky ways to profit this week. For our 2025 NASCAR Iowa Corn 350 Free Pick, we’re sticking with a driver whose setup and recent pace check every box.
2025 NASCAR Iowa Corn 350 Race Odds: Ryan Blaney +500
While the two drivers above think about what might have been, Blaney’s the guy who took advantage of their shortcomings and won the inaugural Iowa race. All in all you’d have to say he dominated last year’s race – on the surface at least. He’s another one of the top drivers on shorter-flat tracks.
For Blaney, this track has a sort of home advantage in a state he’s had so much success in throughout his career.
In last year’s Iowa Corn 350 Blaney won Stage 1, finished fourth in Stage 2, and led the most laps with 201.
NASCAR Odds: William Byron +1000
Byron still hasn’t won since the Daytona 500. He put himself in position to make a move for the victory at Indy on Sunday, but his fuel tank didn’t get the memo.
He simply didn’t have enough gas for the the two overtimes and dropped back from a podium finish to P16.
Iowa would be a good spot for him to break through as he ran well here last year, finishing second in the inaugural event in 2024.
NASCAR Odds: Joey Logano +1200
Logano looked like he was on his way to another victory at the Brickyard 400 before a cut tire derailed his chances late in the race, and the defending Cup Series champion settled for a P32 finish at Indy.
In the first Cup Series race at Iowa, Logano ran well, starting P11 and finishing sixth. If he can avoid another incident like last week’s and stay in this race, he could be in position to add another win to his lengthy resume.
Before you bet the house on a name-brand driver, make sure to consider track history and current form. For another 2025 NASCAR Iowa Corn 350 Free Pick, we factored in both — and landed on a driver flying just under the radar.
