Go Bowling at The Glen Race Free Picks
2025 NASCAR Go Bowling at The Glen Race Odds: Shane van Gisbergen +140
Since bursting onto the NASCAR scene, Shane van Gisbergen has been a wrecking ball on road courses. As a part-time driver in the Kaulig Racing stable in 2024, van Gisbergen finished second at Watkins Glen after qualifying third.
This season, he’s taken a major step forward in an improved car with Trackhouse Racing. Moreover, he’s won the pole position in the last three road course races this year, most notably by 0.47 seconds at the Chicago Street Race and by 0.25 seconds at Sonoma Raceway, and he’ll go for a fourth pole this weekend.
With his eyes on the playoffs, a win here would give him a fourth on the season and put him right alongside Denny Hamlin in the points race.
Consequently, that would all but guarantee advancement through the Round of 16, and a run at the Round of 12 means he’d carry the same edge into the ROVAL.
Therefore, our 2025 NASCAR Go Bowling at The Glen Free Pick is riding with one of the front-runners — sometimes chalk is the sharp move.
2025 NASCAR Go Bowling at The Glen Race Odds: Christopher Bell +1400
Already this season, Christopher Bell has three wins to his name. After a disappointing run at Iowa that saw the No. 20 car score its fewest points in a month, he’ll need a strong performance at Watkins Glen.
Furthermore, Bell is another road course ace who’s won three road course races to date. Although he hasn’t led a lap at Watkins Glen, he does have three top-10 finishes in four starts there, so some positive regression could help him this weekend.
In addition to outright plays, top-10s and matchups offer sneaky ways to profit this week.
As a result, for our 2025 NASCAR Go Bowling at The Glen Free Pick, we’re sticking with a driver whose setup and recent pace check every box.
2025 NASCAR Go Bowling at The Glen Race Odds: William Byron +1400
All season long, William Byron has run well and been a fixture atop the drivers’ standings since the first race of the year. Therefore, it’s a bit surprising that last week’s win at Iowa was just his second of the year and first since February.
Given the No. 24’s consistency, it wouldn’t be surprising to see the team make it two in a row on Sunday at Watkins Glen.
NASCAR Odds: A.J. Allmendinger +1800
At this point in the season, A.J. Allmendinger needs points badly and finds himself in need of a win, so Kaulig Racing will unleash him this weekend. One big thing in his favor — the No. 16 car has performed extremely well on road courses.
Historically, Allmendinger owns the 10th-highest average finish — 15.3 — in the Next Gen era, and that sample extends across more than 20 road course races. However, those figures would be even better if not for a transmission issue that ended his race early a year ago after qualifying sixth.
Additionally, Allmendinger enters in solid form after back-to-back strong runs, but both were spoiled when other cars ran into him, ruining consecutive races where he’d started ninth.
NASCAR Odds: Denny Hamlin +7500
For years, Denny Hamlin has been one of NASCAR’s most consistently elite drivers. Nevertheless, much of his success has come on ovals, with road courses historically being less of a specialty. That’s why oddsmakers have moved him well down the board.
Even so, Watkins Glen has been an exception for Hamlin. In fact, he holds the second-most top five finishes among active Cup Series drivers at this track with six, trailing only Kyle Busch’s seven. Because he’s as good as anyone when running well, there are certainly worse bets than backing the future Hall of Famer.
Before you bet the house on a name-brand driver, be sure to weigh both track history and current form. Ultimately, for another 2025 NASCAR Go Bowling at The Glen Free Pick, we factored in both — and landed on a driver flying just under the radar.
