The 12th race of the NASCAR Cup Series season goes down this weekend at Kansas Speedway with the AdventHealth 400. Kansas is a spot the Cup Series visits twice a year, so we’ve seen the drivers perform here quite a bit in recent years. Kyle Larson won the spring race here last year, with Ross Chastain winning the playoff race in the fall.
William Byron remains atop the driver standings, but his lead continues to dwindle, with Kyle Larson continuing to gain ground thanks to three consecutive top-five finishes, with four stage wins in that time frame.
Denny Hamlin and Chase Elliott are tied for third behind them. Hamlin’s position is a little more precarious as he’s finished outside the top 20 in consecutive races. Tyler Reddick’s fallen back to fifth himself thanks to three straight races finishing outside the top 10.
NASCAR 2025 AdventHealth 400 Race Odds: Kyle Larson +375
Larson is a clear favorite in Kansas in the second consecutive week on a 1.5-mile track. He led a race-high 90 circuits at Texas and appeared to be on pace for his third win of the season but couldn’t quite seal the deal. He’ll look for a better outcome in Kansas where last year he prevailed in the closest finish in NASCAR history.
NASCAR 2025 AdventHealth 400 Race Odds: Ryan Blaney +650
It’s been a weird start to the year for Blaney who’s on pace for his worst average finish since joining Team Penske. But he’s passing the eye test right now behind a solid car, so it seems like he’s due to reverse course and start making some appearances in victory lane.
Kansas may not be the best place for him to make this turnaround, however. He has only two top 10 finishes with just six laps led since 2020. Blaney’s a guy we’ll be keeping an eye on in the coming weeks, but with oddsmakers nestling No. 12 into the second spot on the odds board, we’ll be looking elsewhere for value this week.
NASCAR Odds: Denny Hamlin +800
Hamlin is well known as a favorite in this space, and he’s in solid form coming off a stretch in which he nearly won three consecutive races. He flamed out in Texas, so look for him to quickly turn things around here on a track he’s won at four times before. Since 2019 he has three wins and seven top-10 finishes at Kansas.
NASCAR Odds: Chase Elliott +2000
With extensive past history for all drivers on this twice a year track, Elliott stands out as the best of the bunch with one win and the highest average finish of all active drivers. His teammates have had better starts to the season, but he’s still inside the top five of the driver standings. He could be poised for his breakthrough this weekend and a solid bounce back after a disappointing showing in Texas as he’s averaging a finish of 10.1 over 18 starts here.
NASCAR Odds: Joey Logano +2000
Logano usually has moments like this in a season where it feels like he’s in for an off year and he usually bounces back pretty quickly. This seems like a great spot for him to re-establish himself as one of the elite drivers in the circuit as he’s won here three times before and can use this as a springboard into more comfortable positioning for the postseason.
