Houston Astros
On Thursday, the Houston Astros will take on the Minnesota Twins in the fourth game of this series. Coming off an 11-0 victory on Tuesday, the Astros looked extremely strong both at the plate and in the field. Thursday afternoon, Houston will send out Brad Peacock as the starting pitcher.
Peacock has looked pretty strong this season. He’s 2-1 with a 3.67 ERA. In his 27.0 innings of work, he’s given up just 11 earned runs. He’s also had solid command of his pitches, recording 24 strikeouts to just seven walks. The right-hander should be able to pitch deep into this game against the Twins.

What’s really worked for Houston has been its penchant for scoring runs. Tuesday, the team proved that by scoring those 11 runs while also keeping Minnesota off the board completely. A lot of credit must be given to outfielder Michael Brantley. He’s batting .331 with 39 hits and 18 RBIs this year.
Minnesota Twins
Sitting first in the AL Central, the Minnesota Twins have gotten off to a strong start this season. However, the team has really struggled in this series thus far. In the first two games — one of which they won — the team has scored just a single run. To beat the Astros on Thursday, they’ll have to find a way to put up some runs.
Thursday’s starter will be Jose Berrios. The right-hander has looked extremely good in his six starts. He’s 4-1 with a 2.97 ERA. In his 39.1 innings of work, he’s given up just 13 earned runs and allowed eight walks. Batters struggle against Berrios, and he’s struck out 41 of them this year.

Despite the struggles in this series, the Twins are very good at the plate. Minnesota averages 5.22 runs per game, and gets a lot of help from the top of its order. Catcher Mitch Garver has been lights out at the plate — he’s batting .348 with 10 RBIs in 46 at-bats.

Free Houston Astros vs. Minnesota Twins MLB Prediction:
Minnesota has struggled scoring as of late, but I think they’ll find success on Thursday with Brad Peacock on the mound against them. Still, Houston is a better baseball team and should be able to pick up the win thanks to its strong batting order. The Astros win a close one in Target Field.
4* Free MLB Betting Pick: OVER 8.5
The Twins are getting too much love from Vegas in this one, especially considering how these two teams stack up against each other. The Astros are the better team, regardless of being on the road. Sure, Cincy won three in a row, but only after seven straight. Take the Cards here.
