Wolfpack Stats
NC State has scored 257 points through eight games, averaging 32.1 per contest. The Wolfpack have generated 1,995 passing yards and 1,271 rushing yards, providing a productive offense despite their uneven record.
Jayden Scott leads the rushing attack with 358 yards and four TD. His foot injury has created uncertainty in the backfield.
Keenan Jackson leads the receivers with 456 yards. NC State has several options capable of contributing when defenses concentrate on its primary targets.
The Wolfpack can move the football, but their defense hasn’t always been interested in returning the favor.
NC State has allowed 207 points, averaging 25.9 per game. The defense has collected four interceptions and five fumble recoveries.
Opponents average 366.1 total yards against the Wolfpack, including 235.1 through the air. Those numbers leave room for improvement, particularly against efficient passing attacks.
Scott’s availability remains worth monitoring, along with other personnel concerns. NC State needs dependable backfield depth against a physical Duke defense.
Blue Devils Stats
Duke has scored 256 points, averaging 32 per game. The Blue Devils have produced 1,888 passing yards and 1,477 rushing yards, giving them a balanced offensive attack.
Nate Sheppard leads the ground game with 972 rushing yards and 14 TD. His production has made Duke especially effective near the goal line.
Jonah Burton leads the receivers with 308 yards. Duke distributes its passing production across several targets rather than depending on one player.
The Blue Devils have allowed 114 points, averaging 14.3 per contest. Their defense has recorded 24 sacks, two interceptions and seven fumble recoveries.
Duke allows approximately 290 total yards per game and ranks among the nation’s better third-down defenses. Opponents have converted only 27.5% of their third-down attempts.
Kicker Cosme Salas has been ruled out for the season. Other personnel concerns remain subject to the latest team availability updates.
Blue Devils vs. Wolfpack QB Matchup
CJ Bailey leads NC State with 1,955 passing yards through eight games. He’s completed 156 of 244 attempts, throwing 13 TD and four interceptions.
Bailey averages 244.4 passing yards per game. His ability to distribute the football has helped NC State maintain offensive production.
He has shown confidence attacking intermediate routes, although pressure can disrupt his timing. Duke’s defensive front presents a difficult assignment.
Walker Eget leads Duke with 1,641 passing yards through eight appearances. He’s completed 133 of 215 attempts, producing nine TD and three interceptions.
Eget averages 205.1 passing yards per game. His responsibilities include keeping the offense organized and exploiting favorable coverage.
Neither quarterback has been particularly careless with the football. Both have protected possession reasonably well while handling substantial passing responsibilities.

Bailey must recognize pressure and release the football before Duke closes the passing lanes. His ability to extend drives will be important against an aggressive defensive front.
Eget faces a secondary that has struggled to prevent completions. Duke should have opportunities to attack underneath without forcing unnecessary throws.
Duke Blue Devils vs. North Carolina State Wolfpack bottom line: Duke brings the stronger defense into Raleigh, but NC State’s home-field success makes this a challenging ACC road assignment.
Duke Blue Devils vs. North Carolina State Wolfpack Football Betting Trends
- Duke has won all 7 of their last games when the total is 50 or more.
- Also, the Blue Devils have covered the spread in all of their last 6 games with totals of 50 or more.
- After a win, Duke is 7-1 straight up in their last 8 games.
- North Carolina State has an 8-1 straight-up record in their last 9 home games.
- Additionally, the Wolfpack have gone over the total in 12 of their last 19 games after a win.
- North Carolina State has a 7-2 record against the spread in their last 9 home games.
Blue Devils Wolfpack Free Pick: Over 51.5
Here is my Blue Devils Wolfpack free pick: I’m betting Over 51.5. Duke is favored by 4.5, but I’m leaving the side alone. NC State has enough offensive talent to make this a scoring contest, especially with the Wolfpack playing in Raleigh.
NC State has gone Over in 12 of its last 19 games following a victory. That’s encouraging, but the bigger attraction is a total that doesn’t require either offense to put on a spectacular performance.
I’m looking for sustained scoring, not two defenses suddenly forgetting how to tackle.
The number gives us several ways to cash. A 31-24 finish works, and so does a game where one team reaches the mid-30s while the other contributes enough to stay competitive.
My concern is Duke controlling the clock and limiting possessions. Still, NC State has enough scoring ability to prevent this from becoming a one-team affair.
I’m not paying for a shootout at 70 points. I want steady scoring and a fourth quarter where both offenses still have work to do. My money goes on Over 51.5.
