Horned Frogs vs. Wildcats Gameday
The TCU Horned Frogs visit the No. 24 Arizona Wildcats on Friday, November 6, for a Week 10 Big 12 matchup. Kickoff is 10:15 PM ET at Casino Del Sol Stadium in Tucson, with ESPN carrying the action.
TCU enters at 4-4 overall and 2-3 in conference play. Sonny Dykes has the Horned Frogs searching for consistency after an uneven first eight games.
Arizona wants another home victory, while TCU would prefer to ruin the Wildcats’ Friday night plans.
The Frogs are 1-1 in true road games. They’re coming off a victory over Kansas, but still need two more wins to secure bowl eligibility.
Arizona stands at 6-2 overall and 3-2 in the Big 12.
Brent Brennan’s Wildcats are unbeaten through four home games. They’re also coming off a disappointing loss to Texas Tech, making this an important opportunity to respond.
TCU leads the all-time series 2-1, including the most recent meeting in 2024. Arizona has already secured bowl eligibility, but another conference loss would hurt its standing.
It’s Week 10, TCU Horned Frogs vs. Arizona Wildcats, hopefully we get a great matchup.

Wildcats Stats
Arizona averages 455.6 total yards and 34.9 points per game. The Wildcats have been particularly dangerous through the air, producing 324.1 passing yards per contest.
The ground game hasn’t been nearly as productive, averaging 131.5 yards. Kedrick Reescano leads the backfield with 321 rushing yards and seven TDs.
Isaiah Mizell has emerged as a major receiving threat. He’s collected 675 yards and six TDs, including three consecutive 100-yard performances.
Defensively, Arizona allows 334.5 total yards and 18.9 points per game. The Wildcats have recorded 24 sacks, giving opposing quarterbacks plenty to worry about.
The secondary has also performed well, surrendering fewer than 200 passing yards per contest.
Arizona’s offense generated 417 passing yards against Texas Tech but couldn’t finish the job. The Wildcats need better execution when opportunities arise.
Horned Frogs Stats
TCU averages 390.5 total yards but only 23.3 points per game. The Horned Frogs have moved the football more effectively than they’ve finished drives.
Jeremy Payne leads the rushing attack with 429 yards and two TDs. He practiced Tuesday, although his availability remains uncertain.
Ed Small has contributed 548 receiving yards and two TDs. Tight end Kari Ashley leads the team with 560 receiving yards, giving the Frogs another dependable target.
TCU’s defense has been the team’s biggest strength, allowing only 14.1 points per game. The Frogs surrender 287.6 total yards per contest, including just 113 on the ground.
Opponents convert only 31.4% of third downs against TCU. That ability to get off the field has helped keep the Frogs competitive.
TCU’s defense has earned its paycheck; the offense could stand to contribute a little more often.
Safety Ryan Yaites has dealt with an injury concern, while linebacker Michael Teason Jr. missed the previous game. Their availability remains important against Arizona’s receiving corps.
Horned Frogs vs. Wildcats QB Matchup
Arizona quarterback Noah Fifita has thrown for 2,481 yards, 19 TDs and four interceptions through eight games. He’s completed 200 of 270 passes, giving the Wildcats one of the country’s most efficient passing attacks.
Fifita completed 33 of 45 passes against Texas Tech. His accuracy and experience make him difficult to defend when Arizona establishes a rhythm.
He also has the patience to work underneath coverage rather than force every throw downfield.
Sawyer Anderson provides depth behind Fifita, completing 10 of 15 passes for 112 yards. He’s thrown two interceptions without a passing TD in limited action.
TCU counters with Jaden Craig, who has thrown for 2,207 yards, 11 TDs and six interceptions. Craig has completed 175 of 269 passes through eight games.
His production has fluctuated, including a 372-yard performance against West Virginia and a much quieter afternoon against Kansas. Finding consistency remains his biggest challenge.

Adam Schobel serves as TCU’s reserve quarterback. He’s attempted only one pass this season, leaving Craig as the established starter.
Fifita has the stronger statistical résumé and a more productive passing attack. Craig must protect the football against an Arizona defense capable of generating pressure.
TCU needs efficient decisions and manageable third downs, while Arizona will look to establish its passing rhythm early. Neither quarterback can afford careless mistakes in a matchup featuring two capable defenses.
TCU Horned Frogs vs. Arizona Wildcats bottom line: Arizona has the more explosive offense, but TCU’s defensive strength gives the Horned Frogs a legitimate chance to make this competitive.

Horned Frogs Wildcats Free Pick: TCU +8.5
Here is my Horned Frogs Wildcats free pick: I’m grabbing TCU +8.5. Arizona has won 10 straight as a favorite, but I’m not betting on the Wildcats to lose. I’m betting they won’t win by nine.
TCU has won 15 of its last 25 road games, and the Frogs have covered two of their last three away from home. Arizona deserves respect in Tucson, but laying more than a touchdown against a capable defense isn’t exactly a bargain.
Arizona can be the better team and still leave everyone laying 8.5 points holding a losing bet.
Here’s what I like: the total is only 43.5. That makes every possession expensive, and a favorite can control the game without building a double-digit lead. One empty red-zone trip or a couple of field goals instead of touchdowns changes everything.
TCU doesn’t need to match Arizona touchdown for touchdown. The Frogs need to stay disciplined, shorten the game when possible and make the Wildcats finish drives.
I’ll take my chances with the points rather than pay a premium for Arizona’s home record. A six- or seven-point Wildcats victory suits me fine. I’m riding TCU +8.5.
