The Wizards just might be the biggest disappointment in the NBA right now. They are actually a small dog at home.
The Suns might have started well but they are probably at the right level now. They can be annoying though.
The Suns come to Washington in the middle of a road trip and in the midst of a stretch where they have won only one of their last seven games. Some of those have been close but for the most part not as they have failed to cover in any game except that win over Toronto.
This is a score first team that can’t defend – third in ppg and third worst in points allowed. The only positive is that they may be catching the Wizards at the perfect time.
I am not really fans of either but you can’t know the production Phoenix is getting from guards Eric Bledsoe and Brandon Knight – both are averaging more than 21ppg.
They keep the pace up but so does the fact that the Suns have virtual no inside presence.
That doesn’t hurt them too much on the offensive end but nobody is really protecting the rim or gobbling up rebounds with Tyson Chandler out – he is questionable for this one.
It has not been a good start to the season for Washington. They just suffered an embarrassing loss to the Lakers and have one only one of their last six contests.
As they try and turn things around they will be without their sturdy center Marcin Gortat, who has left for personal reasons.
I like the backcourt of the Wizards better than the Suns but the production of John Wall and Bradley Beal is a notch below. Wall is coming off a big game against L.A. in the loss in fact he has scored 30+ in the last couple of contests.
The challenge seems to be getting both Wall and Beal to play well at the same times. Their games are complimentary but it seems like they are not always in sync.
With the frontcourt experiencing losses there is going to be even more pressure on them.
Gortat is out in the short term but the Wizards are also unlikely to have Nene or reserve Drew Gooden in the lineup for this one. That means a lot of Ryan Hollins and Kris Humphries.
At least they are only playing Phoenix.

- Over is 7-1 in Wizards last 8 when their opponent allows 100 points or more in their previous game.
Free NBA Prediction:
I was definitely going to with with Washington before I learned that Gortat was out. That means it will come down to whichever backcourt can dominate.
4* Free NBA Betting Pick: Washington ATS
I am still going to back the home team, especially with Wall feeling it latelt.
