Let’s take a look at every game on the schedule, the odds that accompany those games and what should play out on another predictably incredible week of NFL action.
NFL Week 9 Odds for Week 9 NFL Action
Falcons (5-3) at Buccaneers (3-4)
(Opening line: Falcons, -2 points)
The Bucs have actually done better against the Falcons than any other team in the league the last couple of years – they are 3-0 against them lately. But this is a different Falcons team we are talking about right now – they are 4-0 ATS on the road this year and are coming off a huge confidence gaining win against Green Bay.
Tampa is 0-3 ATS at home this year and looks a tier or two below Atlanta right now. I’m taking the road team by 6 here.
Jaguars at Chiefs
(Opening line: Chiefs, -8 points)
The Jags are an absolute mess! They head into a previously tough Arrowhead in which the Chiefs have actually been pedestrian the last few years – just 3-6-1 ATS in their last 10.
That said Jacksonville has nothing going right on either side of the ball. KC is a contender – there is no way they let a pretender sneak up on them this week. Take the Chiefs by 10.
Lions at Vikings
(Opening line: Vikings, -7 points)
This line is bound to move after the debacle we saw Monday night! There is a formula for beating the Vikings – attack their poor O-line and force the average Sam Bradford into looking like Sam Bradford.
Detroit is playing some OK ball – my guess is that they outscore the Vikes Sunday en route to a surprisingly easy win.
Eagles at Giants
(Opening line: Giants, -2 points)
Juicy game in the NFC East! The G-Men, off their bye take on an Eagles team that will be stinging off their OT loss to Dallas on Sunday night.

It is hard for me to fathom New York as a favorite here – jump on this line as soon as possible – the Eagles in my mind should be favored. The Giants are just 2-7 against the Eagles in their last nine meetings and head into this game with the league’s second best defense.
Eli will frustrate fans against a top tier defense yet again and Philadelphia will continue their mastery of New York!
Cowboys at Browns
(Opening line: Cowboys, -7 points)
The Browns are 0-8 on the season and 2-6 ATS – yuk! Add in the fact that Dallas is 3-0 ATS on the road this year and this pick is easy. I ain’t betting against the Cowboys – go ahead if you so choose!
Jets at Dolphins
(Opening line: Dolphins, -3 points)
The Fins return from their by on a two game win streak and get the honor of playing a horrible Jets team that has fared well in the past against Miami.
That said there isn’t a whole lot to like about this year’s Jets – they are 2-3 ATS on the road and 2-5 SU. Miami has figured a few things out – Jay Ajayi will likely be the difference again in an easy Dolphins victory.
Steelers at Ravens
(Opening line: Ravens, -2.5 points)
The Ravens are currently favored in this game – I don’t know how long it will last with the news that Big Ben could make his return this week.
My bet is that Ben does come back and that he, Le’Veon Bell and Antonio Brown are too much for an average looking Ravens squad. If you agree with me – act fast because Vegas will react when they see Roethlisberger on the practice field!
Saints at 49ers
(Opening line: Saints, -3 points)
The Saints are 2-0-1 ATS in their three road games this year and arrive off an impressive all-around team victory against Seattle.
New Orleans is back in their Division race folks and likely won’t let this one slip through their hands.
My guess is that the Saints score at will and that they hold a miserable 49ers offense down en route to a double-digit victory.
Panthers at Rams
(Opening line: Panthers, -2 points)
The Panthers returned from their bye last week and looked like a completely different team. Forget that they are 2-5 ATS on the year and 0-3 SU and ATS on the road; Carolina looked like an elite team again last week in their win over Arizona.
I like them to keep the roll going and for them to post a 7-point or better win on the road Sunday.
Colts at Packers
(Opening line: Packers -6.5 points)
Aaron Rodgers will have a field day against the league’s 28th ranked defense that will likely be without a few key starters. Heck, the Indy defense made Nick Foles look like a superstar on Sunday!
Meanwhile the Colts offense looks out of sync – they just can’t protect Andrew Luck right now and are exposed week-in and week-out. I like Green Bay in a rout here!
Titans at Chargers
(Opening line: Chargers, -5.5 points)
This is a good matchup of Tennessee’s second best rushing attack against one of the league’s best run defenses in San Diego. The Chargers have owned this series at home – Tennessee hasn’t posted a win in San Diego in 16 years!
Add in the fact that the Titans are 6-13 ATS in their last 19 as road underdog and this looks like an easy Chargers win. I’m sticking with the numbers here and taking San Diego by a TD.
Broncos at Raiders
(Opening line: Pick’em)
Juicy AFC West game!! It will be Oakland’s sizzling offense against Denver’s stout defense! Denver has owned this series – they are 8-1 SU in the last nine. Oakland is 1-2 at home this year and 0-3 ATS.

Hmmm. Denver took down a hot offense (San Diego) last week – my bet is that they do it again this week. Defense trumps offense again!
Bills at Seahawks
(Opening line: Seahawks, -5.5 points)
Two struggling teams do battle on Monday night – the Seahawks take on the Bills who may or may not get Shady McCoy back from injury.
The Bills have played the NFC tough this year winning all three games by double digits. But this is Seattle we are talking about – at home where they are 9-0 SU and 6-3 ATS in their last nine versus the AFC.
I like Seattle continue their home dominance on National TV and to prove why they are still considered an elite team. It should be a 7-10 point victory!
Bye weeks: Bears, Bengals, Cardinals, Patriots, Redskins, Texans
