The wait is over — dive into our bold take on the 2025 NFL Training Camp Power Rankings and see who’s rising before preseason kicks off. Let’s take a look at Ray Monohan’s 2025 Training Camp NFL Power Rankings for the 2025 season.
1. Philadelphia Eagles
The Eagles didn’t face the usual roster turnover we see from reigning Super Bowl champions. Sure, they’re swapping in Mekhi Becton at right guard, but the offense remains largely intact.
Defensively, they lost some depth, though most starters return outside of Darius Slay and CJ Gardner-Johnson. This is still an elite squad with smart coaching and a real shot to repeat — both in the regular season and come February.
2. Kansas City Chiefs
The Chiefs have made a habit of bouncing back stronger after playoff defeats — and this season feels like another setup for that trend to continue. While the defense lost some contributors, Kansas City could see a massive upgrade on offense.
A fully healthy group of pass-catchers gives Patrick Mahomes the weapons to reignite those explosive plays we saw during his early MVP years. Don’t be surprised if they shift back to a more aggressive offensive identity.
3. Buffalo Bills
Buffalo just hasn’t found the magic formula to get past Kansas City — yet. That said, they drew the easiest schedule among the league’s top-tier teams this season.
Because of that, the Bills have a clear path to the No. 1 seed, which would let them avoid facing both the Ravens and Chiefs before the AFC Championship. Home-field advantage could finally be their ticket to a breakthrough.
4. Baltimore Ravens
Not much has changed in Baltimore, and that’s both good and bad. This team remains rock-solid, especially in the run game — a critical weapon when the weather turns cold in January.
However, until they solve their postseason puzzle, the ceiling remains capped. This could be the year they finally figure it out.
5. Detroit Lions
Losing both coordinators and their starting center stings — especially for a team that led the NFC before a brutal playoff collapse. Still, there’s too much talent on this roster to expect a major step back.
If they adjust quickly, Detroit should be right back in the hunt for a top seed in the conference and a return trip to the NFC Championship Game.
6. Los Angeles Rams
The Rams gave the Eagles their toughest challenge in last year’s postseason, and clearly, the front office took notice. Their Super Bowl hangover is officially behind them. Adding Davante Adams was a major splash, and this offense could be lethal if Matthew Stafford stays upright.
On the other side of the ball, the defense is young and hungry — and trending upward.
7. San Francisco 49ers
Don’t let last year’s disappointment fool you — the 49ers are set to bounce back in a big way. Like the Bills before them, they’re undergoing a bit of cap restructuring, but that hasn’t stopped them from reloading through the draft.
Additionally, San Francisco enters 2025 with the league’s easiest schedule, a perfect storm for another deep run.
8. Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Even without All-Pro tackle Tristan Wirfs to start the season, Tampa Bay remains one of the most dangerous offenses in football. Baker Mayfield has his full arsenal back, and there’s no shortage of scoring options.
More importantly, this is the year Todd Bowles has to dial in the defense — because that’s the last piece holding them back from true contender status.
9. Houston Texans
The Texans might be the fourth wheel in the AFC power quartet, but don’t sleep on their ceiling. With C.J. Stroud poised for a year-two leap and DeMeco Ryans’s defense continuing to develop, Houston is no longer just a fun story — they’re a real threat.
If they stay healthy, this team has enough juice to reach the AFC title game and maybe more.
10. Washington Commanders
Jayden Daniels lit it up in his rookie season, and Washington wasted no time building around him. This offseason brought in serious talent on both sides of the ball.
Of course, avoiding the sophomore slump is key — but if Daniels levels up again, the Commanders will be in the thick of the NFC race and could push for their first conference title since the ’90s.
From breakout rookies to revamped rosters, our 2025 NFL Training Camp Power Rankings break down every team’s trajectory heading into the season.
