Let’s take a look at Ray Monohan’s 2024 Week 11 NFL Power Rankings for the 2024 season.
1. Kansas City Chiefs (9-0)
They just keep findings ways to win. There is a definite ceiling on this team if they continue to run their offense the way they have been, but they keep finding themselves in positions to win and making critical plays to stay in the win column. They face a very stiff test this weekend against the Bills and we may need to see them loosen the reins on the offense.
2. Detroit Lions (8-1)
The Lions have blown out some opponents with one of the more consistently explosive offenses in football, but we’ve also seen them win games in other ways – on special teams, on defense, and behind only the run game when the passing game isn’t hitting. The Chiefs are the top team in the loaded AFC, and the Lions are the clear top team in the NFC.
3. Buffalo Bills (8-2)
The Bills are beating teams in a variety of ways, and the addition of a strong running game has helped move Josh Allen into MVP territory. There are some holes on defense that are going to catch up to them at some point, but this looks like as good a team as any in the NFL right now.

4. Baltimore Ravens (7-3)
The Ravens aren’t even atop their own division, but there’s no denying they may have the best offense in football. The running game is better than it’s been in recent years, and Lamar Jackson is finding more success through the air than we’ve seen from him in the pros. They’re another team with concerns on defense, particularly their pass defense, but the offense has covered up those flaws.
5. Pittsburgh Steelers (7-2)
Do we just give the Coach of the Year award to Mike Tomlin now? The way he’s managed to get the most out of what looked like a questionable QB room has been masterful. This is a team with an elite defense that is no longer ultra-reliant on that defense to win games with Russell Wilson and Arthur Smith unlocking their vertical passing game.
6. Philadelphia Eagles (7-2)
The Eagles keep leaving the door open for their opponents with sloppy play to start games out, but their talent keeps managing to win out, and Vic Fangio has quietly turned the defense into a formidable unit. There are some things for the Eagles to clean up to move higher up the power rankings, but the talent is certainly there on the field to do so.
7. Washington Commanders (7-3)
Control of the NFC East is going to go to either those Eagles or this Washington Commanders team that has impressed all season long behind Jayden Daniels. We figured the offense would work, but Dan Quinn’s done more with the defense than we thought possible, and reinforcements are coming with Marshon Lattimore getting healthy soon.
8. San Francisco 49ers (5-4)
The overall record isn’t pretty, but this team needed a spark and they get one in the returning Christian McCaffrey. Brock Purdy is playing better than your typical game manager, and the defense is starting to get healthy. This is a team on the rise.
9. Minnesota Vikings (7-2)
The Vikings need to hope these recent efforts have been just a blip on the radar from Sam Darnold. He needs to clean up his game, and fortunately, Kevin O’Connell is as good as anyone to help him do that.
10. Los Angeles Chargers (6-3)
Justin Herbert is finally healthy and Jim Harbaugh is content to move away from his run-first style to let Herbs cook. The AFC is deep and competitive, and this team may be ramping up its game with an eye toward the postseason.
