The NFC Conference is a log jam at the top of the odds in terms of what team will win. There are six teams that are +900 or better.
It should make for a very exciting season, that has a lot of good battles come playoff times.
Here then are 5 favorites that can win the NFC in 2021, followed by some longshots.
2021 NFC Championship Predictions: San Francisco 49ers +400
There’s no doubt that the 49ers had a fantastic season last year and really should have had the Super Bowl won, but another 4th quarter coaching collapse by Kyle Shanahan saw him lose another Super Bowl. The 49ers will now look to rebound this upcoming season which has been a huge problem for the loser of the previous Super Bowl in the past.
That fact alone however makes me skeptical of what this team is actually going to be able to do. They do return most of their talent from last year after signing extensions with defensive end, Arik Armstead. Alongside re-signing Jimmie Ward at safety, the 49ers have all but one of their defensive starters back. The only one to have departed was DeForest Buckner.
San Francisco also retains their three-headed monster at running back and of course have the likes of George Kittle at tight end. The Super Bowl hangover seems to be a real effect making the start of the season extremely important for this team.
2021 NFC Championship Predictions: New Orleans +600
New Orleans had yet another great season, but losing out on a top two seed meant they had to play on Wild-Card weekend and we know how that turned out. The good news is Drew Brees is still kicking, re-signing with New Orleans for two years. Even as he increases in age, he still can sling the ball with precision and remains as one of the best quarterbacks to ever play.
Brees has even more weapons on the offensive end, adding Emmanuel to their wide receiver core. Sanders alongside Michael Thomas an Alvin Kamara at running back could be a deadly trio.
As for the defensive side of the ball, the Saints brought back Malcolm Jenkins to play safety, while adding D.J. Swearinger on a one-year veteran-minimum deal. The Saints are just as talented as any other team in the conference, and should be in the mix for a Super Bowl appearance.
2021 NFC Championship Predictions: Tampa Bay Buccaneers +700
Obviously the Bucs are in this position because they signed Tom Brady. Brady is still 42 years of age and definitely showed some regression in what was his final season in New England. Especially in that playoff game against the Titans where Brady looked bad to say the least.
That being said, Brady is still arguably the greatest quarterback of all-time and should be able to have success. Mike Evans is a legitimate wide receiver 1 and could easily be Brady’s favorite target. Not to mention, Chris Godwin also had a fantastic season last year and that was with Jameis Winston throwing him the ball.
The defense for this Bucs’ squad showed signs of success last season, but are going to have to do much more to help their new quarterback. Brady probably plays in the hardest division in football now, meaning a Wild-Card could be likely. Again, Brady is up there in age, but his skill set is still there, meaning you have to consider the Bucs.
2021 NFC Championship Predictions: Seattle Seahawks +800
As long as Seattle has Russell Wilson under center, they will always be in the conversation for a Super Bowl appearance. Adding the likes of Greg Olsen gives them veteran experience at tight end (if he can remain healthy). Also, the Seahawks had a ton of injured guys at running back last year, who will likely come back this upcoming season.
With Pete Carroll as the head coach, you can never really count Seattle out which is why they should be considered among the top teams in the NFC.
2021 NFC Championship Predictions: Green Bay Packers +900
The Packers are another team that have to be considered as a Super Bowl contender almost every year. At least as long as they have Aaron Rodgers under center.
Green Bay was pretty quiet this offseason, only adding offensive tackle, Rick Wagner, wide receiver, Devin Funchess, linebacker, Christian Kirksey and tight end, Mercedes Lewis. Even then, we have to think the Packers are going to win the NFC North (again), which means they will likely have at least one home playoff game.
While the Packers are not my first choice by any means, they continue to be one of the top teams in the conference, so at roughly +900, it might be worth a shot.
LONGSHOTS
2021 NFC Championship Predictions: Dallas Cowboys +1100
How can you write a futures preview without mentioning “America’s Team”? Dak is back under center with Zeke at running back, which is still a talented duo. Alongside Amari Cooper and new signing, the Cowboys have solid guys at wide receiver.
Furthermore, the Cowboys added Ha-Ha Clinton Dix at safety and Gerald McCoy and Dontari Poe at defensive tackle to really add some depth to their defense. Even still, this is Dallas we are talking about and with a new coach, it may take some time to adjust to his system. That is why I have this team as a longshot.
2021 NFC Championship Predictions: Atlanta Falcons +2500
An even bigger long-shot would have to be the Atlanta Falcons. Although playing in the NFC South just became much harder with Tampa Bay acquiring Tom Brady. That being said, the Falcons have Matt Ryan at quarterback, who is still solid. They just signed Todd Gurley to bolster their running game and have Julio Jones and Calvin Ridley as part of their wide receiver core.
Also, Atlanta traded for Hayden Hurst, a promising young tight end after losing Austin Hooper to free agency. It gets better for the Falcons as they added Dante Fowler Jr at defensive tackle while adding depth at some needed positions on the defensive side of the ball.
There is no doubt that the Falcons have a talented roster, but whether or not they can execute is a different story and is why they are considered a long-shot.

CappersPicks.com 2021 NFC Championship Prediction — New Orleans Saints +600
The NFC is much more crowded in terms of teams that could actually win the conference. The Super Bowl hangover effect has me jumping off the 49ers bandwagon, and I really do not see Brady taking the Bucs close to a Super Bowl appearance.
I think Drew Brees and the Saints have too much talent on their team, so I would take New Orleans to finally get back to the Super Bowl after coming so close in recent years.
