The NBA All-Star break is closing in, so we thought it’d be a great time to take another look at some NBA futures markets. In this article, we’ll take a look at what teams have the best shot to win the Eastern Conference.

NBA Eastern Conference Futures Picks
Cleveland Cavaliers NBA Odds to win the East (-300)
The Cavaliers (31-12) are tops in the East and are the best team when healthy. Cleveland allows 95.7 PPG (2nd) and they rank 4th in the NBA in point differential (+5.3 PPG). That’s a scary thought with the scorers they have.

Cleveland rank 28th in pace (94.9) and are only scoring 101.0 PPG (19th), but you know they’ll turn up the heat in the playoffs. If Lebron James, Kyrie Irving and Kevin Love stay healthy, the Cavs will remain big favorites.
Toronto Raptors NBA Odds to win the East (+1000)
I might be biased, being a Raptors fan, but at 10/1, we’re getting a good price. Toronto (29-15) are on an 8-game win streak and sitting second in the East. Will this be the year the Raptors advance in the playoffs?
DeMar DeRozan (23.2 PPG) and Kyle Lowry (20.7 PPG) are getting it done. Toronto has been solid on defense, ranking 4th in points allowed (96.8 PPG) and 5th in point differential (+4.4 PPG). They need a PF, though.

Chicago Bulls NBA Odds to win the East (+950)
Chicago (25-19) are seeing a lot of action lately. Derrick Rose is driving the lane better than he has in awhile, but his health is always a concern. The Bulls also lost some depth, as Joakim Noah is done for the season.
There are some problems with Chicago too. They’re 9-10 on the road and just 16-13 in conference play. The reason the Bulls are taking bets is because they’ve gone 2-0 in the season series against the Cavaliers so far.
Atlanta Hawks NBA Odds to win the East (+1700)
The Hawks (27-19) still have one of the best starting rotations in the East. Paul Millsap (18.4 PPG & 8.8 RPG) and Al Horford (15.2 PPG & 7.2 RPG) are running the show this season, but several others are contributing.
Kyle Korver has been struggling from beyond the arc, but that’s likely to change by the playoffs. I’d have the Hawks favored in a series against every team except the Cavs and at this price, they look tempting.
Detroit Pistons NBA Odds to win the East (+7500)
My long shot is the Pistons (24-21) at 75/1 – they’re currently 6th in the East. However, there’s still a lot of season left to move up some spots in the East and this team has a lot to like, despite having depth issues.
[dfads params=’groups=230&limit=1&return_javascript=0′]
The Pistons rank 10th in point differential (+1.6 PPG) and 2nd in rebounds (47.6 RPG). Andre Drummond and Reggie Jackson are leading the way. Detroit will make the playoffs, but it’s unlikely they win the East.
