The PGA Tour season is down to its final three tournaments of the calendar year. After another week off, the PGA Tour Fall Series continues with the World Wide Technology Championship in Los Cabos, Mexico at El Cardonal Golf Course.

The field this week lacks star power, opening the door for longshots to move to the head of the pack and better their standing on Tour in 2026. For bettors, that means there’s value to be found on the betting board.

This Week on the PGA Tour

The El Cardonal course at Diamante is known for low scores, and taking it easy on the players who are teeing it up this week. The winner has broken the 20-under mark on their final scorecard each time since 2018.

Austin Eckroat returns as the defending champion, and is joined by previous winners including Eric Van Rooyen and Viktor Hovland, the latter of whom won this event in consecutive years. Van Rooyen won with a tournament-record score of 27 below par in 2023;

Austin Eckroat won his second PGA Tour title of the 2024 season shooting a 9-under 63 on Sunday to complete a one-stroke victory over Justin Lower and Carson Young, closing with a birdie on the par-4 17th and a bogey on the par-5 18th of the Tiger Woods-designed El Cardonal at Diamante. Young birdied his final hole to reach 23-under, and Eckroat finished with an eagle on 18 to get to 23-under himself.

Eckroat finished the weekend at 24-under 264. The former Oklahoma State standout won the Cognizant Classic at PGA National for his first PGA Tour title last March. His first win gave him exemptions into the 2024 Masters and PGA Championship tournaments, and the second did the same for the 2025 editions of those tournaments.

Eckroat’s inaugural win came as a +10000 longshot. Oddsmakers showed him more respect in Los Cabos when he emerged victorious from a field of 120 cashing tickets of +3500 as one of the top 20 players on the odds board. For his part, Eckroat walked away with a payout of $1,296,000.
