Scottie Scheffler enters the Genesis Scottish Open riding a wave of elite form. He’s posted nine straight top-10 finishes, bringing his season total to 11 — the most on Tour. Yet despite his dominance, he’s still searching for his first win on U.K. soil. With The Open Championship looming at Royal Portrush, this week offers a perfect chance for Scheffler to finally check that box.
Right behind him on the odds board is Rory McIlroy, who took home the trophy here in 2023. Naturally, Rory’s game is built for links golf, and his comfort in these conditions gives him an edge that Scheffler hasn’t quite developed yet. The Northern Irishman is also riding high after completing the career Grand Slam with his Masters win in April — a long-awaited moment that added a layer of legacy to his already legendary career.
More recently, Rory has been locked in at The Renaissance Club. He’s fired eight consecutive rounds in the 60s over his last two starts here, finishing first and T4. Without a doubt, a win this week would mark his 30th PGA Tour victory, a huge milestone. His last outing came at the Travelers Championship, where he finished T6, his best result since Augusta.

Next up is Xander Schauffele, who trails only Scheffler and McIlroy in both the world rankings and this week’s odds. While Schauffele has shown flashes, he’s still searching for his first win of the 2025 season, with just one top-10 finish to his name so far.
