The Pebble Beach Pro-Am has been a great spot for longshot winners in recent years, with Tom Hoge winning last year at +6600, Nick Taylor taking the 2020 crown at +16000, and Ted Potter, Jr. shocking everybody in 2018 at +50000.
This Week on the PGA Tour
The AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am takes place on a rotating course for the third straight week on the PGA Tour. The Pebble Beach Golf Links is scenic, the Monterey Peninsula CC plays the least difficult, and Spyglass Hill GC can be a terror depending on the weather.
156 pros and 156 amateurs play the first three rounds before a 54-hole cut. Bill Murray, Aaron Rodgers, Steve Young, and Jason Bateman are among the celebrities playing this weekend on the Pacific Coast.
Much like two weekends ago at the American Express, tournaments that host a pro-am aren’t especially difficult otherwise you’d have a 9-hour round from the likes of Murray, but this weekend all depends on the weather off the coast.
2023 Pebble Beach Pro-Am Free Picks & Golf Betting Odds: Jordan Spieth +1100
Spieth is already a Pebble Beach icon, winning here in 2017 and currently on a stretch of three straight top 10 finishes including a runner-up last year. Spieth had a legendary shot off of a cliff here last year that has actually caused the PGA to move the boundaries back to avoid any copycats.
You could also pivot here at +300 for Spieth to miss the 54-hole cut, as he was also favored at the Sony Open a couple weeks ago and melted down to a missed cut even after shooting 64 for an opening round lead.

2023 Pebble Beach Pro-Am Free Picks & Golf Betting Odds: Seamus Power +1800
Power looked well on his way to a win on the Pacific Coast last year, shooting a 64-64 to start the weekend here last year to set the 36-hole record – and that was still with the “easiest” course of the rotation coming up at Monterey Peninsula. Power ended up finishing the weekend 74-72 and dropped all the way to 9th so he has some unfinished business.
Power has finished in the top 25 in four straight and has been inside the top five in three of those. He’s up to fifth in the FedEx Cup standings.
2023 Pebble Beach Pro-Am Free Picks & Golf Betting Odds: Joel Dahmen Top 5 +600
Dahmen finished T6 at Pebble Beach last season, but showed great command of the course hitting 80.6% of his GIR and getting an eagle at different courses in each of the first two rounds.
We haven’t seen Dahmen yet in 2023, but he finished the Fall leg on a roll with T5 at the RSM Classic, T9 at the Houston Open, and T3 at the World Wide Technology Championship. He’s not a bad play as a +4000 outright winner.
2023 Pebble Beach Pro-Am Free Picks & Golf Betting Odds: Russell Knox Top European Player +1200
This contradicts the Power to win play, but Knox could surprise some people here as he was tied for first in the field in 2022 hitting 83.3% of his GIR. The favorite for top European player, Matt Fitzpatrick, is battling some neck issues which only helps Knox’s chances.
