The players will enjoy a links style course this week – one that favors accuracy over length off the tee – players like Zach Johnson, Nick Watney and Jim Furyk have had success here to prove that point. Hit fairways, hit greens and make putts – you should do well.
Scrambling stats are also one to keep an eye on as well as par 4 scoring average. More than ever, current form has to be a huge part of our pick this week.

So with that in mind who should we keep an eye on this week?
Let’s take a look.
2015 BMW Championship Favorites:
Jason Day — 7/1
The best golfer on the planet lately enters off a respectable T12 at the Deutsche Bank – he won three of his previous four starts. A week off to rest will have done him some good – he is a deserved favorite this week. Day was T4 here the last time this event was held at Conway Farms – don’t expect much of a dropoff this week!
Rory McIlroy — 17/2
Should be better this week than he was at the Deutsche Bank where he showed some rust en route to a T29 – he had a final round 66 in that tournament. He has a ton to prove with Jordan Spieth and Jason Day passing him in the overall golf Rankings. Rory should be a motivated man!
Jordan Spieth — 11/1
Two straight missed cuts? Unfathomable! Conway Farms is a track that should fit his game like a glove – he finished T16 in 2013 here. Spieth is due for a big performance this week – let’s hope all of his golf karma hasn’t been used up just yet!
2015 BMW Championship Contenders:
Henrik Stenson — 12/1
Stenson may be the “most due” for a win on the heels of consecutive runner-up finishes (the Deutsche Bank and at Plainfield). He now has four outright second-place finishes in last 13 starts and is the hottest golfer on TOUR to not have won the last six months. He’s playing great golf and is just missing the “W” – it may come this week.
Rickie Fowler — 16/1
Enters off a nice win in the Deutsche Bank – he looks to build on that result. Fowler may be peeking at just the right time and looks like he could be this year’s Billy Horschel. It could go really well for Ricky this week or really bad!
Jim Furyk — 20/1
Has been very good lately recording top 5s in four of his last eight tournaments and gets a crack at a course he finished T2 on in 2013 – tournament he shot an incredible 59 on. He finished T4 at TPC Boston and enters in sneaky good form.

Zach Johnson — 28/1
Won the BMW Championship back in 2013 and has been good in the FedEx Cup playoff – a T4 at The Barclays and a T22 at the Deutsche Bank. On a track in which accuracy is favored over length this week seems to set up well for Johnson. His game is suited for this track as evidenced by his success here. Course history and current form point to a good week for Zach.
Matt Kuchar — 33/1
Has three top 10s in his last five starts – peeking at the end of the season. He had a T7 at both the RBC Canadian Open and PGA Championship and a T9 at The Barclays and needs a good week to get into the top 30. He was T24 in 2013 – a tournament he shot a 61.
2015 BMW Championship Sleepers (50/1 or higher):
Kevin Kisner — 50/1
Finished top 20 in the first two legs of the playoff. His game is well suited for this track – 10th in ball striking in the last two starts and ninth in strokes gained putting. Kisner has been on the radar all season long – he may just pay us off this week.
Matt Jones — 70/1
Finished T8 here in 2013 and heads into this week in good form. He finished T4 at TPC Boston and is yet another guy peeking at the end of the season. Jones at 70/1 is good value this week – don’t sleep on him!
Tony Finau — 90/1
Some more good value! Finau enters off a missed cut at TPC Boston but his game looks well suited for this track. Finau has some work to do in order to get into the top 30 – motivation may play a big part this week.
2015 BMW Championship Picks:
I had Henrik Stenson in the Deutsche Bank and his runner-up finish didn’t scare me off. My guess is it just made him more hungry. Take hammerin’ Hank at 50/1 to get it done this week.
The sleeper is Kevin Kisner at 50/1. He has quietly been playing well and his game is perfectly suited for this track.
