His three assists against Toronto showed how effectively he can create scoring opportunities for teammates.
Utah has allowed 54 goals this season. Its defensive results haven’t consistently matched the offensive production.

Neither starting goaltender has been officially confirmed. Vejmelka is a possible Utah starter, while Fowler and Dobes remain options for Montreal.
Montreal has received the better overall results in net, but that advantage depends on who starts. Utah’s offensive strength presents a demanding assignment for either Canadiens goaltender.

Mammoth Canadiens Free Pick: Montreal Canadiens ML +103
Here is my Mammoth Canadiens free pick: I’m taking Montreal Canadiens ML +103. Utah is favored on the road, but I’m not convinced the Mammoth deserve that respect. Montreal has won four of its last five, and getting plus money at home deserves my attention. The key is how Montreal responds after blowing a four-goal lead against Winnipeg.
That was ugly, but one disastrous finish doesn’t erase several weeks of good hockey.
I’ll take a motivated home underdog over paying road chalk for a team with defensive problems.
Utah can generate plenty of offense, so Montreal can’t afford another careless third period. The Canadiens need to establish their forecheck, force mistakes and make Utah defend for extended stretches. I’m buying the bounce-back opportunity at a price that pays better than even money.
Give me the Habs ML +103.
