In this one we see another playoff hopeful team who is just barely on the outside looking in take on an abysmal hockey club hunting down the first overall pick.
The Dallas Stars are playing well at the right time despite having a really streaky season up until this point. Their goalie Oettinger has stepped in and played unbelievably well.
The Habs unlike the Sabres that we just talked have a bright future. I just covered this the night before with the Coyotes pick so I won’t dive into it again, you all get the drift.
So with the line set and everything in mind, let’s take a closer look and lay the side we like.
Dallas Stars
The Stars are playing with the same level of urgency the Oilers are that I discussed in their earlier post. They can feel the hot seat and know that they should be making a run and are oh so close.

As the Knights continue their fall from grace the Stars keep gaining ground but are in a deathmatch with both the Oilers and Predators for those final two spots.
The big difference between this team and the Predators versus the Knights and Oilers, is that the Stars and Predators have excellent goaltending and well, the Oilers and Knights don’t as all you hockey fans know.
I think that the Stars are going to snag that last wildcard spot at the end of the day. However, I do not see them making it past the first round as they will likely draw the Avalanche which essentially just extend their season for 8 days.
Montreal Canadiens
Once again I covered the Canadiens yesterday so I won’t delve too much into them. They just lost to the Coyotes so, need I say much more?

I expect them to come out with their best and the Habs not being able to keep up. Hammer the Stars folks!
