The Blues are enduring their first cold streak of the 2015-2016 season.
Losers of 3 of their last 4, the Blues will welcome the site of home ice and the Buffalo Sabres on Thursday night.

This will be the 1st of 2 meetings over the next 5 days for these foes, which bodes well for St. Louis who has just simply dominated the series between the two for quite some time.
Buffalo
Thursdays game against the Blues marks a 4 game span that will see Buffalo play St. Louis twice and Dallas twice. They’ll have a chance to really make an impact with these tough 4 games, or they’ll fall back to the pack if they cannot find ways to stop the high flying attacks of both teams.
Buffalo has been one of the best bets for backers in terms of ATS. They are 12-6 this season in that category and a ridiculous 7-0 ATS on the road.

Things get even better for Buffalo, especially with the daunting schedule approaching, as Evander Kane is expect to return on Thursday. Kane has been out and missed 10 games with an MCL injury. While his status isn’t 100 percent on Thursday, he would likely return the following game against Dallas if he is unable to go.
The return of Kane times perfectly too as Center Zemgus Girgensons will miss the next couple of games with an upper body injury.
Kane will also help in the aspect of scoring, something Buffalo struggles with. The Sabres are averaging just 2.22 goals this season.
St. Louis
The Blues raced out of the gates quickly, but are slipping back down to reality in terms of their play as they’ve dropped 3 of 4.
St. Louis went on a 6-1-0 streak where they posted 3 shutouts in the process. Since that streak, the Blues have allowed 15 goals (over their last 4 games) and suffered a bad defeat to a weak Columbus team 3-1 last time out.

With the 15 goals in 4 games conceded, the Blues are now allowing 2.42 goals against this season. G Jake Allen has a lot to do with that and he will get the nod on Thursday. Allen has some career success against the Sabres as he shut them out the last time he faced them.
St. Louis has also dominated Buffalo over the past seasons. They’ve won 6 straight in this series and have allowed only 5 goals in those 6 games.
