Following wins over Kentucky and Alabama last week, the Missouri Tigers have moved up to number 10 in the latest AP rankings and will have another tough test Wednesday against the Ole Miss Rebels.
Missouri Tigers
Missouri came into the season with plenty of returning minutes, and the Tigers have used their veteran experience to their advantage. Seniors Jeremiah Tilmon, Dru Smith, Xavier Pinson, Mark Smith and Kobe Brown have combined to score 79 percent of the team’s points this season.
The Tigers are coming off arguably their most impressive win this season against top-10 Alabama. The Tigers posted their best defensive rating of the season against the Crimson Tide which helped overcome a 3-for-25 shooting night from the outside.
Missouri has done an excellent job sharing the rock in recent games. 49 percent of the Tigers field goals over their last three games have been assisted. Four different players on Cuonzo Martin’s squad average in double figures in an offense that plays unselfishly.
Ole Miss Rebels
Ole Miss’ identity has been on the defensive end this season. The Rebels have the 14th best defense in the country according to Bart Torvik.
The Rebels do an excellent job of forcing turnovers. Kermit Davis’ bunch is ninth in the country in turnover percentage on defense and limits opponents to 45 percent shooting from two. Ole Miss allows just 63.4 points per game, which is 34th in the country.
Offensively, Devontae Shuler has led the way for the Rebels. He averages 15.5 points per game but will have to regain his rhythm Wednesday. Shuler is just 5-of-20 from deep in his last three games and is hitting 3’s at a 33.2 percent clip this season.
Shooting has been an issue for the Rebels all season. Ole Miss is hitting just 28 percent of its threes, which ranks 332nd in the nation.

Free Missouri Tigers vs. Ole Miss Rebels NCAAB Prediction:
Missouri being the underdog in this spot doesn’t make sense. Outside of this being a top-10 versus unranked matchup, Missouri is that far more balanced team. The Rebels just don’t have the offensive consistency compared to the Tigers. The under is enticing as well given how poorly these teams shoot the ball.
