Kansas Jayhawks
Kansas went into the halftime break down nine to Marquette in the semifinal of the NIT at the Barclay’s Center on Wednesday. Then, the Jayhawks made some adjustment and blew the doors off the Golden Eagles in the second half, running away for a 77–68 win.
It started with Devon Dotson’s defense, which got plenty of ink after the game. He switched onto Markus Howard, a Big East First Team in the preseason and a Player of the Year candidate in the conference.

Howard went 1-for-10 in the second half after filling it up in the first and Marquette faded with it’s best offensive player struggling to find space on that end.
Dedric Lawson scored twenty-six to lead either team and KU’s balanced scoring followed from there. The Jayhawks have so many guys who can hurt you on the offensive end. Tennessee’s defense has its work cut out for it in this game.
Tennessee Volunteers
Tennessee was in control of its game, for more of the game, in the first semifinal in Brooklyn. The Vols never quite pulled away from Louisville but it won the first half by five and finished with a comfortable 92–81 victory to set up the top-five championship game the tournament organizers were surely hoping for.
Bill Self and Rick Barnes have seen one another plenty of times, back when Barnes was with Texas in the Big-12 with Kansas. Self holds the commanding 15–6 head-to-head record.

Admiral Schofield showed up on the injury report against Louisville but he played thirty-six minutes. That guy won’t miss this game and he should be just fine.

Free Kansas Jayhawks vs. Tennessee Volunteers NCAAB Prediction: Kansas.
Both teams are deep. The Jayhawks are a little more talented in the shooting department and I believe that will show through because they have the size to contend with Tennessee in the paint.
4* Free CBB Betting Pick: KU -3
