Florida Gators
Florida and Kentucky are the two teams atop the SEC after the first week with two wins. The Gators knocked off #11 Teas A&M at College Station earlier this week when, like we suspected, the Gators rained threes to dispatch the Aggies.
Now, Texas A&M is still missing some guys in the backcourt, but UF didn’t just win on the road, it won going away.

I’m surprised that KeVaughn Allen has been scoring as little as he has. He’s fourth on the team with just fewer than 12 points per game and it has prompted some broadcasts to leave him out of Florida’s “Big 3” that includes Hudson, Chiozza and Goulechev.
Allen has shot worse this season than in his first two — a lot worse. He’s shooting 36 percent from the field and 29.9 percent from three after 44 and 37, respectively, last season.
Confidence is key. If Allen can retain it, he should be just fine because he has more talent than anybody on the Gators’ roster. But if he loses it, Florida won’t go to the Final Four, the Elite Eight, or even the Sweet Sixteen. In fact, it could be one and done. Allen is a streaky shooter, yes, but Mike White has to make it a point sooner rather than later to get him more involved in Florida’s attack, even if it means suffering some bumps in the road immediately.
Missouri Tigers
After the Tigers lost Michael Porter Jr. for the season, they sort of fell off a lot of national pundits’ radars. But two 15-point scorers in Kassius Robertson and Jordan Barnett have Missouri at 11–3 and in the early hunt for an NCAA Tournament bid.
The Tigers won their first SEC game at South Carolina, which was a Final Four team from a year ago, albeit a little different than it is now.

Missouri has lost close games against West Virginia and Illinois and beaten St. John’s and Iowa State. Porter’s injury situation is a bummer but it’s nice to see the Tigers continuing to fight.

Free Florida vs. Mizzou NCAAB Prediction: Florida beats Missouri on the road with superior offensive play.
It just doesn’t get much better on offense than the Florida Gators. As long as they are moving the ball and not settling, this team will go a long way with the shooting and offensive prowess it possesses.
