A pair of AL Central foes finish their series in Cleveland as the Twins take on the Indians at Progressive Field. Both teams are heading in opposite directions with the Twins owning the worst record in the American League.
To say the Twins’ season has been a complete let down would be a gigantic understatement. They are horrible in nearly every facet of the game and have taken significant steps back from the progress they made last year. Minnesota is 23rd in OBP, 25th in slugging percentage and 26th in OPS.
The Twins are also 27th in runs allowed, 28th in hits allowed and 29th batting average allowed. The Twins are awful, and there’s simply no other way to put it.
One of the few bright spots for Minnesota this season has been Tyler Duffey, who comes in with an 0-2 record, a 2.60 ERA and 1.15 WHIP. Duffey will get the start in this one and he’ll look to build on his last two starts where he struck out 16 batters while walking just two.
Unfortunately for Duffey, the Twins can’t score runs, especially on the road.
The Indians are playing some of their best baseball of the season and find themselves in second place in the AL Central.
Led by Mike Napoli and Francisco Lindor, Cleveland has won seven of its last 10 games and the team is playing with as much confidence as it’s ever had.
Unfortunately for the Indians, they’ll be without outfielder Michael Brantley as he was recently placed on the 15-day DL.
The Tribe will send Trevor Bauer to the mound to face the lowly Twins. Bauer comes in with a 3-0 record, a 3.86 ERA and a 1.29 WHIP.
The former reliever, who’s made just three starts this season, is coming off his most impressive outing of the year where he allowed no runs and just three hits against the Astros on May 10.

Free Minnesota Twins vs. Cleveland Indians MLB Prediction:
How can anybody justify betting on Minnesota? The Twins have been outscored 63-26 in their last eight games, so there’s no reason to think the Indians won’t blow it open on Sunday.
Minnesota hasn’t shown any signs of promise at all, and the Indians are playing their best baseball of the season.
4* Free MLB Betting Pick: Cleveland ML
If there’s any reason to bet on the Twins, it’s because Tyler Duffey is on the mound. Then again, he’s yet to win this year, so how much can you really trust the Twins’ bats to give him some help?
You can’t. Take the Indians.
