The Chicago Cubs and Milwaukee Brewers close out their series in Milwaukee as Jon Lester faces off against the surprising Junior Guerra.

The Cubbies have slipped a bit since their phenomenal start, but they’re still 20 games over .500 and should have no problem coasting through the NL Central as the season progresses.
Anthony Rizzo and Kris Bryant continue to lead the power surge for the North Siders as the Cubbies bring one of the NL’s best lineups into Milwaukee to close out the series.
Jon Lester will toe the slab in this one as he looks to get back on the right track after struggling badly as the first half came to a close.
Lester is 10-4 with a 2.89 ERA but has been shelled on the road, giving up 13 runs over his last two starts away from Wrigley Field.
He bounced back against the Mets in his last start, but that came at home.
Lester on the road has been a completely different story.
Milwaukee Brewers
After hanging steady with the Pirates and Cardinals in the NL Central, the Brewers seem to be throwing in the towel as the season enters its second half.
Milwaukee is just 3-7 over its last 10 games and continues to struggle within the division.
The Brewers have some nice core pieces in Jonathan Lucroy and Jonathan Villar, and Ryan Braun will always pose a threat to opposing pitchers.
Unfortunately, they need much more help and should be considered sellers at the trade deadline.
Junior Guerra has been a nice surprise for the Brew Crew as he looks to make his case to be the team’s No. 1 starter next season.
Guerra has only allowed five runs over his last four starts and has struck out 33 batters over his last five starts.
He comes in with a 6-2 record and a 3.06 ERA. The question is, will the Brewers be able to score some runs off Lester to give him some support?
