Two AL East foes will finish their four-game series in Toronto as the first-place Baltimore Orioles take on the third-place Blue Jays.
The Orioles continue to keep pace with the Red Sox in the American League East and find themselves 12 games over .500 with more than one-third of the season in the books.
Baltimore has been phenomenal at the plate this year, mostly because of Mark Trumbo’s 20 home runs and 48 RBI.
He’s arguably been the best free agent acquisition of the offseason, and Baltimore is thanking the baseball Gods that he’s inside the clubhouse.
Unfortunately for the Orioles, Ubaldo Jimenez, who was once regarded as the ace of the staff, continues to get shelled whenever he takes the mound.
He possesses an insanely high 6.21 ERA to go with a 1.89 WHIP. Those are not the numbers of most starting pitchers, let alone the ace off the staff.
Jimenez also has a road ERA of 7.85 and opposing batters are hitting .321 off him when he’s not pitching at Camden Yards.
Toronto Blue Jays
When Aaron Sanchez takes the mound, there’s a great chance the Blue Jays are going to win.
The 23-year-old righty has emerged as one of the American League’s best young pitchers and hasn’t lost a decision in the last six weeks.
Despite his 5-1 record and his sub-3.00 ERA, Sanchez has performed better on the road where opposing batters are hitting him for just .193. At Rogers Centre, however, Sanchez has a 3.82 ERA and opposing batters carry a .260 average against him.
After a tough start to the year where they struggled to score runs, the Blue Jays seem to be back to their winning ways.
Reigning AL MVP Josh Donaldson leads the team with 14 dingers and Edwin Encarnacion leads the club with 48 RBI.
The Jays find themselves less than five games out of first place and are playing with much more confidence now than they were when the season began.
MLB Baseball Betting Trends:
- Orioles are 4-6 in their last 10 games vs. Blue Jays.

Free Baltimore Orioles vs. Toronto Blue Jays MLB Prediction:
Both of these teams are playing much better baseball and have had no problem scoring runs. Jimenez has had an awful start to the season, and Sanchez has been a stud.
Having said that, Sanchez has not fared as well at home, which means the Orioles and their red-hot bats have the opportunity to score some runs.
The Blue Jays will probably win, but this game is sure to be high scoring.
4* Free MLB Betting Pick: Over 9
Jimenez is a gas can, and Sanchez isn’t as dominant at home. I’ll take the over in this one.
