The Minnesota Timberwolves have a very good chance to continue their hot start to the season as they host Miami who will be playing on 0 days rest.
Not only are the Heat playing in a back-to-back situation, they will be without Jimmy Butler once again as he will miss the current Miami road trip because of the birth of his child.

With or without Butler, the Heat got off to a great start to the 2019/20 campaign with a 120-101 win over Memphis in the opener as -7 favorites.
The result of that game vs. the Grizzlies was kind of a surprising one, mostly because both defensive minded teams pushed the pace which sailed the total of 213.5 ‘over’ by a hefty margin.
After their first game, Miami leads the NBA in pace as they had 115.3 possessions vs. the Grizzlies. That’s nice from a fan’s perspective, but may hurt them in game two of a back-to-back. The Heat are playing another fast paced team in the Bucks on Saturday afternoon.

It would have been a nice revenge game for Butler who has spent some time with Minnesota in his career. The Heat may like their offseason signing’s absence though as it helps show them what they have in the roster as a whole.
One of those players seeing increased playing time is Kendrick Nunn, who had 24 points and a +27 +/- in the opener. Justise Winslow also looks to make the next leap in his career as he led Miami with 27 vs. Memphis.
Minnesota Timberwolves
Minnesota looks like an early great play at -6.5 when they host Miami who will be on 0 days rest. The T’Wolves have two solid wins on the year, both of which were on the road. Saturday is the home opener at the Target Center.
It’s not hard to see what has been Minnesota’s key to a 2-0 record, their big man Karl-Anthony Towns. The 7-footer has posted lines of 36/14/3 and 37/15/8 through his first two games.
Miami lost Hassan Whiteside to Portland in the offseason and Towns should be able to abuse that absence on Sunday. 6’9″ Bam Adebayo got the start at PF for Miami in the opener but will be matched up with KAT at times – that favors Minnesota by a ton.

What ‘Wolves coach Ryan Saunders would really love to see on Sunday is for somebody besides Towns to step up – or at least in a more consistent manner. Andrew Wiggins had 21 points in the opener, but 16 in the second and hasn’t found his shooting touch yet.
The Wolves did like what they see out of Josh Okogie who had 14 points off the bench vs. Charlotte. The more hands on deck the merrier as Minnesota tries to run a fatigued Miami team off the court.
