Week 7 college football sees the Cowboys taking on the Horned Frogs at Amon G. Carter Stadium on Saturday afternoon in Fort Worth, Texas.
The Horned Frogs are favored by -3.5 points in this Big 12 matchup between a pair of 5 – 0 programs coming into the game.
Oklahoma State Cowboys
For the second consecutive campaign, the Cowboys are a perfect 5 – 0 and on the brink of bowl eligibility about as quickly as it can be done. The Cowboys found wins in all four of their Big 12 Conference road games last season, and they’ve already beaten Baylor in Waco to continue the run of results away from home.
Coach Gundy has only been in Stillwater for 18 years, so he doesn’t have much experience yet. Hmm hmm, I mean he has seen it all and there is nothing the former mullet-bearing coach can’t be prepared for at this point. By the same token, Oklahoma State has only finished one season at the top of the Big 12 Standings and that came in 2011. Last year’s 12 – 2 was certainly impressive, and it built a nice foundation leading into 2022 especially beating Notre Dame in the Fiesta Bowl to put a stamp on the campaign.
If scoring points is the name of the game, well, you will have your chance to watch an offense that can certainly move the ball this weekend. Both teams are going to have a wealth of success moving the ball on Saturday, and if that 68.5 total scares you, remember it’s not Halloween yet. There are no ghosts or goblins standing in the way!
Oklahoma State is ranked 4th in the Nation averaging 46.4 PPG, and their 469.8 yards an outing puts them at 21st in the total yards rankings. In case you haven’t caught any Cowboys games on the tube yet, when you turn on this game just look for the dude wearing the #3 jersey calling the plays under center. Spencer Sanders is going to throw the ball, run the ball, he might catch a pass, kick a ball, and give water to all the guys on the sidelines too. He’s the head cheerleader and the water boy, and he was seen spotting his O-line when they need a hand in the locker room. Oh, he swept the floor and wiped down the counters like a gent too!
Seriously, the Cowboys go as Sanders goes, and that’s all you need to know until further notice!
TCU Horned Frogs
What a win that was last weekend. Did you see the Kansas crowd and ESPN Gameday on campus to boot? Seeing Coach Leipold getting Kansas back on the college football map again is awesome, but Sonny Dykes went into Lawrence with different ideas last weekend escaping with a win, 38 – 31.
When Coach Dykes left SMU, I think some of us were wondering how he would do with a Big 12 program. Inheriting 48 returning letterman and 10 offensive starters, the cupboard was certainly not bare and he didn’t have to come here and completely rebuild things. The choice to have Max Duggan running his offense has worked out well, and if you caught Game Day on Saturday you all saw how impressed the panel was with Duggan when he walked by them. After the pregame warmups, the teams were working their way back to the locker room, and all Desmond Howard could do was talk about Duggan’s size and stature.
Duggan is a big kid who is not afraid to tuck a ball in and deliver some punishment in the ground game, and he can toss a rock around the yard too. Big Max is already over 1,300 passing yards, and let’s go on a limb and call that 14 – 1 TD to INT ratio stellar!
Kendre Miller is toting the rock like a man should, as he will break the 500-yard mark fo rthe campaign this weekend and likely add to his count of 6 trips to the end zone this year. In fact, the other limb I will jump on will tell you that he will score twice, at least, this weekend at home.

4* Free Oklahoma State Cowboys vs. TCU Horned Frogs NCAA Betting Final Analysis:
They both might hit the total! They will need to hit 35 – 35 to reach 70, and if it is 28 – 21 at the half how are you going to feel about that total now? Hmm hmm, there will be 49 first half points, and it will just be a matter of time before the rest of the points hit the score board. How about over 100?
