Week 4 college football sees the Cardinals and Seminoles meet at Doak S. Campbell Stadium.
The Florida State Seminoles are 16 – 5 in 21 all-time meetings with Louisville, but that is simply history. The Louisville Cardinals are favored to go INTO TALLAHASSEE and get a win this Saturday! So, which one of those weighs the most in your opinion because history is going to do nothing to help the Noles find an easy home win.
Louisville pounded the Noles into submission last season with a 48 – 16 thumping in Kentucky, Cards QB Malik Cunningham led the way to that win and he is hoping to pick up a second straight victory against a struggling Florida State team.
At 0 – 3 and already with an ACC loss, the Noles can hardly afford to let another conference game get away from them. Home underdogs… I mean, it’s gotten to that point and we’re all proud of McKenzie Milton’s comeback but it has not panned out to winning games in the ACC. Milton’s game
We only have two words left to say… JACKSONVILLE STATE!
The Cards are favored by -1.5 points in this ACC Atlantic Division matchup.
Why shouldn’t the Cards be favored to walk into Doak and find a win? I mean, I just said about all any Seminoles fan can handle now… Jacksonville F**king State!
If you don’t think that Scott Satterfield saw that loss and thought that this might not be the worst time to take a trip to the Sunshine State, then when would it be? Granted, we all know that the Noles won’t lie down and just give it away, but Louisville has looked prepared after recovering from the Ole Miss loss on opening weekend.
I mentioned Cunningham already knows what it is like to beat the Noles, and he was basically efficient in that 48 – 16 win. His stats weren’t going to knock anyone over but his backfield did the rest. Cunningham is up to 734 passing yards but his 3 – 2 TD to INT ratio could use some adjusting.
That adjusting came from 200 rushing yards and 6 TD on the ground in only 3 outings. The dude is going to run the ball, throw the ball and carry the Gatorade to the bench to fuel everyone up too, so watch for #3 to have himself a field day with the Noles D.
Jalen Mitchell is just past Cunningham in the run department with 213 yards but has only found the end zone once this season. In fact, Mitchell and Cunningham have the only 7 rush TD the Cardinals have among the entire team. Oh, you said you needed a RB to catch a football? Yeah okay, his name is Mr. Mitchell and you can throw it to him, hand it to him, but just make sure you feed it to him in any way possible.
#3 … #15! My work is done here!
Florida State Seminoles
There was hope there would be no starting QB controversy in 2021, as McKenzie Milton did so much, to a man, to get back on the field. All right, this is not UCF and this is not the same Milton, so the debate rang out about his ability to lead a team again. Remember now, you want to talk about someone who was on top of the world when he got hurt? Some people might forget that that dude was a friggin animal for UCF and he was the reason why. It’s a team sport, yes, he was a team player and did it all.
So, I don’t know how anyone is going to get over losing to Jax State because that essentially is unacceptable in Tallahassee. That’s like the Michigan / App State game relived by Noles fans LoL
Milton has 300 passing yards with only 20 rushing yards and that really tells a lot about where he is with either his confidence or just simple ability. He certainly doesn’t look the fleet afoot dude he was, but he does have that ability to escape a pocket.
The stats just aren’t there and the 0 – 3 is horrible… with an FCS loss in the mix. Yowza Yowza Yowza!
Jashaun Corbin has carried the ball 37 times and put up 280 yards, but he has only 2 of the teams’ 4 rushing TD through 3 games. With only 5 TD passes caught to boot, there is so much room for improvement it is ridiculously obvious to say. Will Jordan Travis be able to change much, or is the offensive line an obvious liability because he has been sacked 7 times already.
Travis is supposedly going to be able to use a dual-threat approach, but he does not look comfortable at all from the eye test. He looked out of sync with the offense when a backup should hopefully re-spark life in a struggling offense. We have not seen it from either QB yet, so this could get ugly.

Free Week 4 NCAA Football Pick
Some people use the phrase, ‘well, they’re favored for a reason.’ I don’t live by that a bit being the think dog kind of guy I am but in this case, it fits. The Cards have their shit together enough to walk out of Doak with a Win, simple as that.
