This game is a big disappointment for Miami. They are hoping to get higher faster so motivation will be a challenge.
Louisiana Tech had a very good season…and they are in a home game kind of situation too.

Still they are an underdog though so that might motivate them a little more. Tough call.
Louisiana Tech Bulldogs
The Bulldogs finished tied with UAB in the CUSA West Division but lost the tiebreaker so they did not go to the conference title game.
They are not elite in terms of overall talent but this is a team that does not have a glaring weakness either, they move the ball, score and defend.
J’Mar Smith is finishing his career with his best season yet. The total yards are a little lower than last year but his efficiency has jumped up big time. He is a good athlete too.
The lone game they played against a Power 5 team was LT’s worst result of the season, they lost at Texas 45-14. They were 9-2 against everybody else.

This game is at home and much more meaningful for the Bulldogs than their opponents. They are underdogs too which sets up really nicely.
Miami Hurricanes
Miami was not supposed to sputter the way they did this season. They were not supposed to finish 6-6 and they were definitely not supposed to lose back to back games against Florida International and Duke, even if they were both on the road.
They seem to have settled on Jarren Williams as their QB of the future. Throughout the season he had some big time highs and lows and some extra practice should help him for this game.
Williams will get one more season of handing the ball off to DeeJay Dallas. He has both speed and power and should be a weapon in this one.
This is the last game for a trio of senior linebackers that have made the Hurricanes a tough opponent to play against even if they were not winning much. Hopefully that group is focused enough for just one more game.

I think we will find out early just where Miami is at mentally for this one. If they are right then they should win.
4* Free NCAA Betting Pick: Miami Hurricanes -6
I like that the offense will have some extra time to gel for this one. That means more practice for a player that could use it.
I do worry a little about the defense but they have speed advantages that should work to their advantage even if the game is not especially hard hitting.
