SEC Championship college football sees the #1 Bulldogs and #3 Crimson Tide meet at Mercedes-Benz Stadium on Saturday.
The Bulldogs are favored by 6.5 points in this SEC title game matchup and we’re not sure but this might be a big game.
There are big games, and there are bigger games, and then this game will happen involving the #1 and #3 teams in the nation. When isn’t the SEC title game one of the biggest games being played on Conference Championship weekend?
I think what may surprise a few people is this line that shows Georgia favored by just about a full TD and I know those teaser people out there are certainly going to looking to buy points. Whichever direction you go I will try to give you my take on this game that will be played on CBS.
And that sucks because that means we will have to listen to Gary Danielson and The Spun gave it to him pretty good in that article. I get it, man, I cannot even listen to that fucking moron talk anymore either!
Georgia Bulldogs
Neither team really gives a shit what network covers the game because this is just so big that it matters none.
The Bulldogs defense is about as ridiculous as it gets, and no one can really question how stout the Bulldogs are on that side of the ball. Do I need to really talk about the rankings? Come on, man!
If you don’t know by now that Georgia has the best defense on planet earth by now? That rock you’ve been living under the last 3 months must be pretty big!
On top of that, did you see what the Bulldogs did to Georgia Tech last weekend while Alabama got lucky to escape the Iron Bowl with a win? While the Bulldogs were pounding Teck into submission (45 – 0), Auburn gave the Tide all they could handle and that was without Bo Nix.
Georgia’s offense isn’t doing anything all that impressive but they really haven’t had to do be the deciding factor. This team ranks 60th in passing and whether it is Bennett or Daniels it doesn’t matter. Neither are really going to do anything that makes you amazed as they only have one player over 400 yards receiving.
Stetson Bennett has the better arm and he certainly can put a ball in some spots but we have seen plenty of poor decision-making from him too throughout the year.
Alabama Crimson Tide
So, again, while Georgia was making another defensive statement last weekend the Tide looked like dog shit against Auburn and had no right winning that game.
Bo Nix is out for the year from the ankle injury and Alabama was supposed to ease past Auburn, right? Yeah, not so much as Auburn needed that win and they almost got it.
Anyway, the status of Brian Robinson Jr. is the discussion of the week thus far, as he might not be able to go for the Tide on Saturday. Robinson went over the 1000-yard mark with 71 yards in the win over Auburn, but we all saw him come out of the game on that bum leg.
If Robinson can’t go, that would have left Roydell Williams as the Tide’s leading back and he has only managed to gain 284 yards on 48 carries this year. Yeah, big Roy won’t be here either with that knee injury and Jase McClennon won’t be around to help matters either. HOUSTON!! WE HAVE A RUNNING BACK PROBLEM!!!
Trey Sanders will have to have the game if his life to help this offense go against the best defense this team has seen all season. Yeah. this is not going to go well for the Tide no matter how much Gary Danielson tries to blow sunshine up Nick Saban’s ass again!
