Dave B’s Fantasy 5 RB Rankings – DFS
Week 2 of the Fantasy Football season is in the books – is everyone looking forward to Le’Veon Bell’s return in Week 3? Me too! The Running Back position has been a determining factor is most of our Fantasy leagues so far – those of you depending on Marshawn Lynch and DeMarco Murray probably lost while those who went with Adrian Peterson in Week 2 probably claimed victory.

So which Running Backs top the list this week? Here are the top 5 RB plays of Week 3.
1. Le’Veon Bell – Steelers
vs. St. Louis Rams
DeAngelo Williams did an admirable job filling in for Bell but it’s time to unleash the Hound! Bell should be motivated to rip it up this week both in the running and the passing game. Williams gained over 200 yards in the first two games behind this incredible O-line – imagine what Bell will be able to do!
Expect 125+ combined yards from Bell this week with 5-7 catches and a TD, maybe 2! Those of you who waited will be happy as Bell picks up where he left off last year.
2. Adrian Peterson – Vikings
vs. San Diego Chargers
That’s more like it! The Vikings found a way to get Peterson the ball in Week 2 and had 134 yards on 29 carries in Week 2 – the Vikings won that game against a tough Lions defense. AP also had 58 yards receiving – thanks Norv Turner!
The rust appears to be gone and All Day looks as though he’s back in top form. Look out NFL – the Dominator is back! You can reasonably expect 120 yards on the ground this week with a TD and 3-5 more catches for 25-40 yards. Peterson will be in the top 5 all season long – get used to it!
3. Marshawn Lynch – Seahawks
vs. Chicago Bears
Lynch hasn’t been great so far this season (just 102 yards) but he returns home and gets the pleasure of facing one of the worst defenses on the planet! Lynch is due for a huge bust-out game and against the Bears I think it is a lock!
Chicago hasn’t stopped anyone this year – good luck slowing Marshawn. Patient Lynch owners can expect 100+ yards on the ground to go along with a TD and 3 or 4 catches for another 20-40 yards.
4. Jamaal Charles – Chiefs
vs. Green Bay Packers
Charles had a case of fumble-it is last week but still went for 125 yards on the ground and a TD – 5.9 yards per rush. This week he’ll be called on often in order to keep Aaron Rodgers off the field.
Charles is still a Stud of epic proportions – a difference maker every time he touched the ball. 120 combined yards with 4-6 catches is a reasonable expectation this week with a TD, maybe 2.
5. Matt Forte – Chicago Bears
vs. Seattle Seahawks
Forte may get 30 touches on Sunday against a defense that was gashed by James Starks in Week 2.
Matt is the only game in town for Chicago right now – he will be responsible for the majority of the Bears offense.
Don’t worry about the lack of support around him or the fact that Seattle’s defense is money at home – sheer volume makes Forts a top 5 play!
