2015-16 Football Previews – (SEC) – Razorbacks
It’s time for the 2015 Arkansas Razorbacks season to open in less than a week. Ranked #22 to start the season off, the Razorbacks will look to cause havoc in the SEC West Things won’t be easy for them, but are they good enough to compete with class of the SEC?

SEC 2015-2016 College Football Preview – Razorbacks
Head Coach: Bret Bielema
2014 Record: 7-6
Arkansas Odds to SEC: 12/1
A 7-6 record was a major disappointment for Bielema and his Razorbacks in 2014. Arkansas, who had aspirations of competing up there in the SEC West, finished 2-6 in conference play and snuck into a post season bowl.
This year, Arkansas will look to rebuilt a depleted defense that featured many 2014 NFL draft picks.
It was no secret for the opposition what the Razorbacks were going to do offensively. They had one of the top rushing offenses in all of the NCAA and they return both running backs.
Bielema has always been a run first, run second, then pass third kind of coach. He used that mentality at Iowa, really adapted Wisconsin to the idea of it, and now has gotten Arkansas down with the idea.
Bulldozers In The Backfield: The Razorbacks return a pair of 1000 yard rushers here in 2015.
Jonathan Williams rushed for 1190 yards and 12 touchdowns in 2014. His best game came against Texas Tech where he rushed for 145 yards and 4 touchdowns.
Also returning along side him will be Alex Collins. In 2014, Collin rushed for 1100 yards and 12 touchdown himself. Collins had at least 1 touchdown in 6 of the Razorbacks’ last 7 games.
Their offensive line returns 4 starters from 2014 which will prove to be big as they will have the same mentality as the last couple years, pound the football and use clock.
Strength of Schedule: Being a member of the SEC West, the Razorbacks are clearly going to endure one of the toughest schedules.
They’ll have 4 road games to deal with in 2015. At Tennessee, Alabama, Ole Miss, and LSU will feature all contests the Razorbacks have to hit the road for.
As stated earlier, Arkansas was 2-5 last season in conference play. If they have any hopes of competing in the SEC West, winning at least 3 of those 4 road affairs is a must.
2015 Arkansas Prediction: 6-6
The Razorbacks have one a really solid foundation built offensively. It’s just too tough to predict how they will be able to keep up with the class of the SEC.
Arkansas struggled mightily when they fell behind early. They had success running the ball, but when you go down early by a couple touchdowns, like they often did in 2014, it gets much tougher to grind out run after run.
Arkansas has the talent, but they’re likely a middle to bottom tier team once again in the SEC.
