Huskies vs. Wolverines Gameday
The expanded playoffs is still so new it is hard to know when teams will get “eliminated”. This does feel like a B10 elimination game though with Ohio State and Indiana so strong.
Washington’s only loss it to OSU, while Michigan is looking to get right after losing to USC. These are the kinds of games where epansion makes sense.
The Wolverines and their freshman signal caller should be more comfortable at the Big House. Look for a good atmosphere.
Washington has proven to start slow and finish strong. That might be a tough formula in this spot.
Washington Huskies
Washington’s only loss was to Ohio State, but the Huskies are just 3-3 ATS for the season. They might not lose again looking at their schedule.
Quarterback Demond Williams Jr. would probably be the Heisman favorite if he had led them to victory in that game. Even with the loss, his numbers deserve merit.
The Huskies are winning by an average of 20ppg thanks to a strong offense, and defense. They are going to need both to win on Saturday.

Washington Huskies Stats
Washington is 5–1 overall and 2–1 in the Big Ten Conference.
The offense is led by quarterback Demond Williams Jr., who has a 74% completion percentage with 1,628 yards and 10 touchdowns.
The rushing attack is anchored by running back Jonah Coleman, who has amassed 474 yards and 10 touchdowns.
As a team, the Huskies have been effective at moving the ball, averaging 437.0 yards per game, which ranks them 24th nationally. They are also ranked 18th in yards per play with an average of 6.6.
On defense the Huskies have a solid unit that ranks well nationally.
They are particularly strong against the run, allowing just 85 rushing yards per game, which is good for 8th in the country.
Their passing defense has been less dominant, giving up 254.0 yards per game.
Michigan Wolverines
Michigan is hoping that top recruit Bryce Underwood is going to get them back to the Championship. That is not going to happen this year.
He has had his moments, but when this team is at its best, it is because Justice Haynes and the running game are pounding away at opponents.
The defense is good, thought not elite. USC scored 31 points in their recent loss and the good teams on their schedule have been able to move the ball.
Michigan is looking to bounce back and this week will have the advantage of playing at home at a time they are familiar with.
Michigan Wolverines Stats
Through the first six games, the Wolverines hold a 4–2 overall record and a 2–1 mark in the Big Ten Conference.
The offense is averaging 218.5 rushing yards per game, which is 16th nationally, and an explosive 6.2 yards per rush (4th).
Freshman quarterback Bryce Underwood has recorded over 1,200 passing yards and five touchdowns, while running back Justice Haynes has been a major contributor with over 650 rushing yards and eight rushing touchdowns, averaging a remarkable 7.7 yards per carry. The team’s overall offense is averaging 29.5 points per game and 420.2 total yards per game.
On the defensive side, the Wolverines have been excellent at limiting opponent scoring, allowing an average of just 18.7 points per game (22nd nationally) and 318.2 total yards per game (24th nationally).
They are particularly effective against the run, yielding only 102.0 rushing yards per game (18th nationally).
Individual defensive leaders include linebacker Ernest Hausmann in total tackles and Jaishawn Barham with three sacks.

4* Free Washington Huskies vs. Michigan Wolverines 2025 Week 8 NCAA Betting Prediction: Washington Over 22.5 Points
Michigan should be better than they were last week against USC. However, I do not see them completely slowing down the Huskies.
The offense just isn’t there and I would expect lots of bettors are putting this game into their teasers given that we are on the key number right now.
The Huskies’ ability to be balanced will help them move the ball and Williams Jr. can be very accurate and efficient.
I was tempted to take the points, but like this play better, a slightly better payoff at -105. I like them to win outright as maybe Michigan sinks a little off the loss.
