With all of that in mind who should we be keeping an extra eye on this week? Let’s break it down.
2019 The Mexico Championship Favorites:
Justin Thomas +900
Justin Thomas has the best odds to win this weekend which is a bit surprising because of how last weekend ended for him at the Genisis.

He had a four shot lead after 54 holes but really struggled on the last nine holes three putting three times and four putting once and that made him lose by one shot.
There is a chance he could be strong and forget about it but that isn’t what I think will happen. I would stay far away from Thomas in this one.
Dustin Johnson +1100
It’s really not a surprise to see Dustin Johnson with the second best odds to win this event because just two years ago he won the event.
Johnson is one of the longest hitters on the PGA tour and that should help him in a course that really rewards you for hitting it far and in the fairway off the tee.
I really wish his odds were a little better than this, but even at this price there seems to be some meat on the bone with this pick.
2019 The Mexico Championship Contenders:
Tiger Woods +1800
Tiger Woods struggled in rounds one and four but had success in two and three last week but this week I think he will finish strong.
At the beginning of round four it looked like he could make a run at least a top five but then he fell off and that led to a mid teens finish.
I think this weekend he puts it all toghether and has success. I’m not sure that means a win but I think he will be very happy on Sunday.
Phil Mickelson +2800
Phil Mickelson won this tournament last year and had a win just two weeks and has to feel good about where his golf game is.

The problem with Mickelson is he is so inconsistent. It seems like he has a lot of highs and then the next few weeks he will struggle to even put.
I think that might be the Mickelson we see this weekend in Mexico.
2019 The Mexico Championship Sleeper (+4000 or higher):
Sergio Garcia +4000
Sergio Garcia has been in the news for all the wrong reasons the last couple of weeks and I think that has hurt his odds but gives you good value.
I don’t really love any of the longshots this weekend but I think throwing a few dollars on Garcia
2019 The Mexico Championship Pick:
The guy I do really like is – Dustin Johnson to have a nice tournament and end up on top on Sunday Afternoon.
He comes into this tournament hot and with a lot of confidence, and I would expect to see him leave the tournament with a little more cash in his pocket.
