With all of that in mind who should we be keeping an extra eye on this week? Let’s break it down.
2019 The Players Championship Favorites:
Rory McIlroy 12/1
The Players Championship is a lot earlier this week, and I think that is going to help McIlroy and give him a big edge of the field.

It’s going to be a little colder which means the playoff the tee is going to need to be perfect, and that is going to help Rory.
It’s hard to lay this type of odds with him, but I really think he could be worth it.
Dustin Johnson 12/1
Dustin Johnson is also the co-favorite in this tournament, and that has been the place he has been the last few weeks.
His last start was at WGC-Mexico and it was a place he won with ease. Johnson is great off the tee, which like Rory will really help him.
2019 The Players Championship Contenders:
Rickie Fowler 25/1
Rickie Fowler has been super inconsistent, but if he can get his putting down this weekend he offers a lot of value.
Be very careful though because he could just as easily miss the cut.
Tiger Woods 25/1
Tiger Woods should be well-rested going into this tournament and this is a course he has loved playing at over his career.

There is going to be extra pressure on him this weekend but That little extra pressure will be good for him, and Tiger seems to be doing a better job as of late of playing under the pressure.
2019 The Players Championship Sleeper (+4000 or higher):
Hideki Matsuyama 40/1
Hideki Matsuyama has always been the up and coming but he really seems like a guy who can be considered one of the better players in the PGA.
Matsuyama loves playing on the Bermuda Greens and that is what will be here this tournament. He has the confidence t oget the job done.
2019 The Players Championship Picks:
The guy I do really like is – Hideki Matsuyama to have a nice tournament and end up on top on Sunday Afternoon.
At 40/1 you will be in line for a big payday.
