With all of that in mind who should we be keeping an extra eye on this week? Let’s break it down.
2018 The Mexico Championship Favorites:
Dustin Johnson +600
It’s really no surprise to see Dustin Johnson with the best odds to win the Mexico Championship at +600 as he is the defending champion at this event.
He took off the Honda Classic last weekend, but has been really putting up some really good results over the last few months.
[dfads params=’groups=248&limit=1&return_javascript=1′]
In his last five events he has three tied for seconds or better, and his worst finish was 16th. When you are playing with that much confidence everyone knows he has a chance in this one.
Although the payout isn’t great he is still one of the safer bets off the weekend, even at such a low price.
Justin Thomas +800
Coming into this weekend with the second best odds is Justin Thomas, and he will be looking for his second win in as many weeks in this one.
He had a domaniting hole in the playoff to win the Honda Classic last weekend, and he seems to be a guy that is just starting to really get dialed in this season.
Although he hasn’t had the greatest success at this tournament,. He still has a real shot although at this price I still might stay away.
2018 The Mexico Championship Contenders:
Justin Rose +2200
Justin Rose has been very selective with the PGA tour events he has played the last few months, but when he has played he has had success.
This will only be the third tournament since October played but in that time he has a first place, a tied for fifth and tied for eighth.
Paul Casey +3300
Paul Casey comes into this touranament off a disapointing showing in the Honda Classic, but if you take out that result, he has had a really nice season so far this year.
He has three top 12 finishes in five starts. and historically he has done good in his career at Mexico.

As long ass he can put together four solid rounds and stay away from the doulbe bogeys, he has a real shot in this one.
2018 The Mexico Championship Sleeper (+5000 or higher):
Gary Woodland +5500
Gary Woodland has never had much success here, but this guy is a winner and knows how to get it done when it matters most.
As a sleeper and at this price, he is worth a look at.
2018 Genesis Open Picks:
The guy I do really like is – Justin Rose +2200 to have a nice tournament and end up on top on Sunday Afternoon.
He comes into this tournament hot and with a lot of confidence, and I would expect to see him leave the tournament with a little more cash in his pocket.
