The Bengals have lost a couple of games after a perfect half season. Not need to panic they just need to get back to business and I expect they will against visiting St. Louis.
Kick off is set for 1:00 PM ET with the Rams looking to use their defense and running game to get a road victory. They are capable but this club seems to enjoy letting opportunities slip through their fingers.
St. Louis Rams
This was supposed to be a breakthrough season for the Rams but it is looking more like the status quo thanks to their current three game losing streak. This is a bad spot to try and break it too, on the road against an ornery Bengals team.
Once again the team’s struggles are primarily on offense. They are second to last in the league in scoring averaging a paltry 17ppg.
This is despite the fact that rookie Todd Gurley has elevated their running game in a big way. He has scored in five straight and has four 100 yard rushing games to his credit so far.
If only the Rams could pass with any kind of efficiency. Quarterback Nick Foles has not been sharp but I think it is also a combination of not having enough weapons around him.
You can only throw so many screen passes to Tavon Austin.
With that defense though they can be in, and win, against any team on their schedule.
The Bengals have only two losses. The first was kind of a stinker given their 8-0 start but last week they pushed one of the best teams in the league to the brink and just came up a little bit short.
There is no need to panic.
Even though it was a loss I liked what I saw from the offense against Arizona. Even though they didn’t have a lot of success they were committed to running the ball and
Andy Dalton had another strong game with 300+ yards an no picks.
Returning home they will face another tough defense but they should feel good about the fact they put up 31 points against the Cardinals. St. Louis is great at rushing the passer though and they need a return to protecting Dalton better.
If the Bengals lose again I grant Bengals fans the right to worry but we are not there quite yet.

4* Free NFL Betting Prediction: Over 42
I definitely like the Bengals to win but I am not thrilled about the current number, even against a team like STL that struggles to score.
NFL Free Score Prediction: Cincinnati 31 – St. Louis 17
The Bengals are likely to cover but I like the total more than that.
