The Arizona Cardinals are one of the most surprising teams in the NFL and will welcome in the St. Louis Rams as they try to move to 4-0.
The Cardinals dismantled the San Francisco 49ers 47-7 Sunday afternoon at home.
As for the Rams, they couldn’t figure out the Steelers defense as they dropped a defensive struggle 12-6 to Pittsburgh.
Kick off is set for 4:25 PM EST.
The Rams decided to make a big splash this past offseason and trade veteran QB Sam Bradford to Philadelphia for QB Nick Foles.
Both QBs were essentially thrown into completely different styled offenses and the struggles have been shown. While Bradford is starting to figure out the hurry up, Foles is still struggling here in St. Louis.
Foles had another poor showing as he failed to find the endzone in the Rams lost on Sunday to Pittsburgh. In fact, they’ve managed only 16 points over their last 2 losses.
Foles finished 19 for 28 with 197 yards and was sacked twice.
The lone bright spot for the Rams thus far has been their defensive play. The D line is coming up with tons of pressure on opposing QBs and sacking them at an unreal rate.
The Rams have piled up 13 sacks through their 3 games, which leads all teams in the NFL. Their defense also held RB Le’Veon Bell to just 62 yards on 19 carries. He struggled all afternoon long to find any gaps in the Rams D.
The Cardinals went through numerous QBs last season after every one of them kept going down with a different injury. They finally found their form this season with QB Carson Palmer leading the way.
Palmer once again led Arizona to a win, this time in blowout fashion as they routed the 49ers 47-7.
Palmer finished 20 of 32 for 311 yards and had 2 touchdowns in the win.
Both of those touchdowns ended up in the hands of WR Larry Fitzgerald. It was the 2nd straight game he threw up big numbers, this time he went for 134 yards on 9 receptions. Combining that with the previous game, Fitzgerald has collected 246 yards, 17 receptions, and 5 touchdowns.
As for the running game, RB Chris Johnson has been equally impressive over the same span. Johnson has rushed for 182 yards on 42 carries and has found the endzone twice.
