The Broncos looked good in getting after Brock Osweiler on Monday night. That was personal and this one could be too as they look to avenge a loss from just a couple of weeks ago.
San Diego is trying to turn around their season.
A second win over the Broncos would be very impressive but it won’t be easy.
Kick off is set for 4:05 PM ET with the Broncos looking to exert their will on San Diego, like they have done against so many other teams at home over the past year.
San Diego Chargers
The Chargers have won two in a row and have to be feeling good about the fact they actually came out on top of a close game for once last week against Atlanta.
They are going to need all of that momentum to try to beat Denver for the second time in three weeks.
I have to admit I was not paying close enough attention as I did not see the fact that they were second in the league in scoring at just under 30ppg.
They are still hoping for more from RB Melvin Gordon but at least this year he has a nose for the end zone. He has eight TDs on the ground and another 2 on receptions.
The defense is still a work in progress. They are OK against the run but they have been getting burned through the air.
Top pick DE Joey Bosa has only played in three games but he has collected 4 sacks, none against Denver though.
Perhaps he and Melvin Ingram can form a nice set of book end rushers.
When the Broncos are at their best it is not always pretty. Against the Texans on Monday night they controlled the game with their defense and put just enough offense together to get an easy victory.
It was hardly stunning to watch but they covered the number so their backers cannot be all that disappointed. They were amped up to show their former teammate a thing or two and made him look bewildered.
Phillip Rivers is a much more experienced and skilled for, making for a different kind of challenge.
When these teams met a couple of weeks ago Trevor Siemian threw the ball 50 times.
Which is twice what is desirable for Denver. They will look to establish the ground game and it will be the deciding factor.
They ran the ball well with CJ Anderson and Devonte Booker last week. Anderson is underrated and Booker is a perfect complement as he runs very hard.
Siemian’s job will remain keeping the team out of trouble. He has not thrown an interception since the second week of the season and have proven unspectacular but reliable.

4* Free NFL Betting Prediction: Chargers +6
San Diego seems to have gotten over their snakebitten stretch. I think they will fall short in this one but will be able to keep the game withing reach.
