The Eagles head on the road for the second straight week in an important NFC East matchup and are reeling after their overtime loss at Dallas on Sunday night.
The Giants are coming off a bye week following their win in London and will hope to keep it rolling after getting some rest.
Philadelphia Eagles
A handful of costly coaching and offensive mistakes lost the game for the Eagles against Dallas but now have to dig deep and avoid putting themselves into a deep hole in the NFC East.

The frequently (and fairly) disrespected NFC East looks like one of the league’s best divisions this season and divisional losses at this point in the season can be damaging.
The Eagles for the most part slowed down the powerful Cowboys offense but fell short in their attempt to even up the division race. Now, they will face the Giants in danger of dropping into the division cellar with a loss.
Carson Wentz was effective against Dallas but did not throw the ball down the field at all.

The offense became very predictable with most passes within 5 yards or behind the line of scrimmage.
Wentz has proven he can make longer throws and he will absolutely need to do that to open up the offense a little bit.
The defense has been solid all season and will now get a very one-sided Giants offensive attack.
The Giants are very poor in the run game and rely heavily on Eli Manning and the Giants great receiving group to make plays.
Jim Schwartz and the Eagles defense is good enough that shutting down a one-dimensional offense should be manageable.
It should come down to turnovers where their defense has been great in forcing but the offense has been untimely in their turning it over.
New York Giants
The Giants caught Case Keenum in arguably his worst career performance and used his handful of turnovers to capitalize and take the win in London.
A bye week any team will always help but there are certain issues with the Giants that won’t necessarily just go away.
Their run game is very ineffective thus making their offense very predictable. Odell Beckham is one of the game’s best but is a headcase and could play himself out of the game at any moment.
Their defense has the talent but isn’t making all of the plays all of the time. When they’ve lost, it has been because of their defense’s inability to come up with timely plays.

I would expect the Eagles defense to be more dynamic this week after being very predictable last week. They have the ability to stretch the field. The Giants pass rush will need to be disruptive to take Wentz out of rhythm.
However, unless Eli is prepared to take the hits that will come from the Eagles defense, the Giants will force the run game – whether or not it works, simply to protect their quarterback.
The Eagles front 7 makes up for what they lack in the secondary and that could spell trouble for the Giants very average offensive line.
NFL Betting Trends:
- NY Giants are 2-5 ATS in their last 7 games following a bye.
- Philadelphia is 10-7 ATS in their last 17 games following a SU loss.
- NY Giants are averaging 19 points per game this season.
- Philadelphia is allowing 16.7 points per game this season.
- NY Giants are averaging 70.3 rushing yards per game as a team this season.
4* Free NFL Betting Prediction: Philadelphia +3.0
While this is a big game for both teams, the Eagles definitely can’t afford to fall to 0-3 in the division.
I think the Philadelphia defense will provide the difference with their pressure becoming too much for Eli and the Giants O-line to handle.
NFL Free Score Prediction: Philadelphia 20 – New York 17
The Eagles offense will need to be better protecting the football but their defense is able to bail them out if necessary. I like the Eagles to take this one on the road.
