Two NFC East foes will be squaring off on Monday Night Football, as Jalen Hurts and the Eagles take on Dak Prescott and the Cowboys.
This will be the Cowboys first game at home this year and they will be playing in front of a full crowd, something they were unable to do last year.
Dallas opened as 3 point favorites, but that number quickly shot up to 4. I would not be surprised to see it rise higher as the week goes on. The total has also been bumped up from 50 to 51.5.
Philadelphia Eagles
After scoring 32 points in week 1 against the Falcons, the Eagles only scored 11 points in their week 2 loss to the 49ers. The San Francisco defense stymied Jalen Hurts & company the whole game.
Jalen Hurts was not nearly as good in week 2. He went 12/23 for 190 yards, but he did not throw a touchdown pass. He also ran the ball 10 times for 82 yards.
Miles Sanders had 13 carries for 55 yards. Aside from Quez Watkins, the receivers and tight ends also had quiet games in the week 2 defeat. They will look to be much more productive when going against a Dallas defense that can be prone to big yardage.
Although this squad lost to the 49ers, one area of strength was the defense. In fact, this unit has been impressive through the first 2 games, as they have only surrendered 23 points in 2 games.
The defense will be facing its biggest challenge of the short year when they have the tall task of containing the loaded Dallas offense. I have a hard time seeing them be slowed down.
Dallas Cowboys
The Cowboys played their second road game of the year on Sunday and they beat the Chargers 20-17 in what was a very good game.
Kicker Greg Zuerlein nailed a 56-yard field goal as time was ticking down to improve the Cowboys to 1-1. That kick saved Mike McCarthy’s backside after he terribly managed the clock at the end of the game.
Dak Prescott did not throw the ball as much as he did in the opener vs. the Buccaneers. He went 23/27 for 237 yards and 1 pick. A big reason he was not asked to throw as much is because the run game was much more effective. Tony Pollard ran the ball for 109 yards and Ezekiel Elliott tacked on 71 yards.
The defense, which is thought to have improved under Dan Quinn, was much better on Sunday. They picked off Justin Herbert 2 times and for the most part, were able to limit big, splash plays.
They did commit a total of 8 penalties for 76 yards on Sunday. This will have to be much better on Monday when going against this Eagles club.

4* Free Week 3 NFL Betting Prediction: Dallas SU
This is a good matchup between two 1-1 teams. I do feel Dallas will win, but I do not think they will crush the Eagles. Both of these defenses certainly have their question marks. Because of this, I do not see it shaping out to be a defensive game. Ultimately, I feel the Cowboys will do just enough to get a win over a tough Philly team. Give me the Cowboys at home here.
