The Jets will be in New England to take on the Patriots in week 7 of the NFL Season. The kickoff is set for 1:00 ET.
The Jets are coming off of a bye week and the Patriots are coming off a tough loss.
The spread has stayed consistent with the Patriots laying 7 points. The total has gone from 41 to 42.5.
New York Jets
The Jets have looked rough this year. We knew they would not be good, but they could at least play a little cleaner.
The last game this team played was in London when they lost to the Falcons 27-20. There are very few winnable games on their schedule, but that was one of them.
A big reason this team has not done great this year is because they simply do not have the talent around quarterback Zach Wilson. Not to mention, their head coach looks totally in over his head. It will be a very long and painful season for New York.
In the London game, Zach Wilson went 19/32 for 192 yards and 1 interception. So far, he has not looked very good, but that is expected with the majority of rookie quarterbacks.
The defense has also not been all that good. In the game against the Falcons, they let Kyle Pitts, their best target, have a total field day out there. He finished the day with 9 catches for 119 yards. We will see if this unit can be better against the Patriots.
New England Patriots
The Patriots continue to struggle this year. I think they are realizing that winning is not so easy when you do not have Tom Brady by your side. The reality is a great quarterback like Brady is a good deodorant for a flawed team and the flaws of New England are being totally exposed.
New England did not cover as 4 point underdogs as they lost 35-29 to the Cowboys on Sunday. This was a game they could have won, but ultimately they did not execute and the Cowboys did in overtime. The better team won the game and it is as simple as that.
Mac Jones had a decent game against the Cowboys. He was 15/21 for 229 yards, 2 touchdown passes, and 1 interception. He really struggled when there was pressure on him. He needs to do a better job of avoiding sacks.
A lot of people were high on this New England team before the season. So far, they have been very disappointing, to say the least.
The defense once again struggled on Sunday. They really struggled to get a consistent pass rush on Dak Prescott, who had a great game out there. It seemed like there was always a wide-open receiver when he dropped back and passed the ball.

4* Free Week 7 NFL Betting Prediction: New England SU
This is a matchup between two teams that are frankly not that good. It will likely be a rather dull game, but nonetheless, it is a game.
I have zero confidence in the Jets. Until they can show me otherwise, I will continue to feel that way. They are currently a disaster for an organization.
The Patriots are the better team and I expect them to care of business. If they cannot beat the Jets, they are in deep trouble.
I expect Mac Jones to build off of what he did against the Cowboys. Defensively, I look for New England to generate a lot of pressure on Wilson.
If the Patriots were playing a little better, I would consider laying the touchdown with them, but I just do not feel great with them covering. Instead, I will risk a little more and take them straight up.
Give me the Pats here.
