An AFC East showdown with major playoff implications takes place on primetime in week 13. The New England Patriots will look to extend their lead in the division as they travel to Buffalo to take on the Bills on Monday Night Football.
The Patriots have suddenly went from 2-4 to 8-4 after rolling off 6 straight victories. They have retaken the lead in the AFC East and will look to win the division for the 16th time in the last 19 seasons.
Buffalo came into the season with Super Bowl aspirations but they have struggled to look the part, sitting at just 7-4 and second in the division.
New England Patriots
New England rolled off the injury rittled Tennessee Titans 36-13 on Sunday for the teams 6th straight victory. The Patriots held a slim 16-13 lead at the half but blanked the depleted Titans offense in the second half and scored 20 unanswered.
Rookie QB Mac Jones had another efficient day passing. Jones finished 23/32 passing for 310 yards and a pair of touchdowns. WR Jacobi Meyers led the team in receiving with 5 receptions for 98 yards. WR Kendrick Bourne paired him will with 5 receptions himself for 61 yards and both receiving touchdowns.
The Patriots struggled to run the ball and finished with just 105 yards on the ground. RB Damien Harris was the most efficient and finished with 11 carries for 40 yards and a touchdown.
The New England defense was fortunate to force 4 turnovers, including 3 fumbles as Tennessee’s fill-in RB’s coughed the ball up in some untimely situations.
Buffalo Bills
After an embarrassing 41-15 beatdown by the Colts, the Bills had a quick Thanksgiving turnaround in New Orleans. Buffalo looked much more like themselves and shut down the injury rittled Saints 31-6.
Josh Allen had a better performance through the air and finished an efficient 23/28 passing for 260 yards. Allen threw 4 touchdowns but also threw 2 interceptions. Allen also rushed 8 times for 43 yards.
WR Stefon Diggs was the teams leading receiver and finished with team highs of 7 receptions for 74 yards and a touchdown. TE Dawson Knox caught just 3 passes for 32 yards but he made the most of his opportunities, finding the endzone twice.
Buffalo suffered a big loss in their Thanksgiving win as it was confirmed star CB Tre’Davious White suffered a torn ACL. He will miss the remainder of the season and will leave a big absence in the Bills secondary.
NFL Betting Trends:

4* Free Week 13 NFL Betting Prediction: New England +3.5
Both of these teams have been great ATS this season and each surprisingly reflect their respective record.
New England is the hottest team in the NFL with six straight victories to retake the lead in the AFC East over the Buffalo Bills. Both sides are coming off lopsided victories which leads to a monster showdown on Monday night from Orchard Park.
Buffalo has been inconsistent this season but I believe they are better than their record indicates. The opposite goes for New England which I believe they’ve capitalized off inferior opponents and injury rittled teams to get where they are now.
That being said, this is a tight divisional matchup with major playoff implications on the line. It should be a close game throughout with one team grabbing a late FG to win.
I see Buffalo being the team to prevail at home but I like New England at +3.5 points. Take the line before it moves any lower.
